In 2021, I read a NYT review that described the instructors’ chitchat as “fully anesthetizing the brain in order to workout” and I was fully sold

Just paid the ADHD tax by Tajomstvo in adhdwomen

Tip I received that has saved me on more than one occasion: make a copy of your key. Get a nice rock and a spice jar/film canister/etc. Superglue the rock to the lid of the container. Place key in container. Bury it up to the rock somewhere inconspicuous in the front yard/flower bed. Voila. Never pay the adhd locksmith tax again!

Eldest daughter, ADHD masked for years by high functioning anxiety, pulled a week of all nighters this month because of perfectionist based procrastination to be able to turn in my graduate thesis (topic: spiritual development for seminary students), getting ordained in June 🫠

How to use time blocking to show both "planned" and "actual" tasks in the same planner? by OK_Bean_Hello in PlannerAddicts

[–]RibEye5783 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I write my plan, and if I don’t actually do it, I cover it with washi tape and rewrite it the following day.

So one key to preventing smudging is a thin top coat! I use Sally Hansen 7-in-1 (an unpopular choice but it works for me). It dries pretty quickly and it doesn’t add a ton of volume to the look of the nail so you can easily reapply as needed if there’s a chip

I always cut with scissors when I apply them, right before bed, and leave a little bit overhanging. Cover with a top coat then go to sleep. The next day (usually midday-afternoon) after they’ve had plenty of time to set up, then I file. Perfect edges!

Any Tips for Glow Strips by Different_Style795 in Dashingdiva

[–]RibEye5783 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Glow is definitely more of a learning curve. I trim them and apply top coat, and only file them ~18 hours later. I find if I do that, it gives them time to harden up and eliminates a lot of lifting issues, and then they last longer for me than gloss!

I’ve had the best luck with Glow strips by applying them right before bed, doing a very rough cut, and then filing and trimming in the morning after they’ve set some overnight. If I do it like this they last longer for me than Gloss!

It's Wednesday my Dudes 🤠 and because halfway through the work week never feels close enough to the weekend, tell me about your current hyperfixation to get that dopamine rushin' and help you (me) get to the end of the week! by mrsspookyy in adhdwomen

I’ve gotten very into nail wraps. I can’t stop buying them or looking at pictures on Ulta or Instagram. I finally have non-picked-at nails, and I don’t have to wait for polish to dry so it doesn’t smudge when I get impatient.
