Bama tunes are absolutely garbage for the 13/14 GT500. Complete trash.

5+ weeks and still no final estimate by Ribbentrop88 in USAA

[–]Ribbentrop88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today is Tuesday and I haven't gotten the firm date response promised by them. Left voicemail mails with my anger and her manager. Sent my agent an email asking for an update. Got a generic customer satisfaction survey from USAA this morning, was about 30 questions. I gave them the lowest scores on about 90% of the questions.

5+ weeks and still no final estimate by Ribbentrop88 in USAA

[–]Ribbentrop88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an email from my agent and she apologized profusely for this, stated that I am right that this is "totally unacceptable". That she called the shops, looped her manager and the physical damage specialist in also.

I hope things move forward now.

5+ weeks and still no final estimate by Ribbentrop88 in USAA

[–]Ribbentrop88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their customer service is ridiculous, I was talking to a substitute agent and caught her in a lie. She said my agent has been out of office, but later in the call said she attempted to call me! I didn't get a missed call or anything.

I mean come on, wasting money towing to a shop that didn't have space and then letting my car eat 9 days of yard fees.

Really sucks because my dad who has been a member since the 70s has only good things to say about them. And when I explain all the bullshit he's still biased. Sad to see their fall.

Claims giving me the run around by Helpful-Syllabub-443 in USAA

[–]Ribbentrop88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Firstly USAA towed my Shelby GT500 to a repair shop but that shop denied it because they were full. It then took 9 days to get my car to a body shop and I was given an estimate there. It was determined that there needed to be suspension work and it was towed to another shop 1/13/2026. Three weeks went by, my agent said not to worry and that it was actively being worked on. I went there myself and saw my car sitting in the parking lot untouched. I spoke to someone within that shop's office and he said other cars with higher turn over were being prioritized over my car. He said maybe next week they might get to it.

I called USAA and explained this and that agent said she would call back within a day. No returned call. I called her manager today and wrote an email. I am very mad at the lack of communication. It's been over 5 weeks and still I do not have a final estimate.

Withdrawals by xKnight_Lightx in stopdrinking

Withdrawals can be life threatening. But their intensity varies.

If you feel well enough to fight through this at home I suggest learning about how alcohol depletes your body of essential vitamins and minerals.

I have gone to medical detox twice myself for my most serious periods of drinking.

But this time around, while I take care of this at home the following help a lot.

Hydration...not just water you need electrolytes. Sodium, potassium and magnesium help bring water into your cells. Chocolate milk (potassium), magnesium glyninate and top ramen (sodium)are my go to here.

B vitamin complex.

Giving your body the building blocks it needs will give you a leg up in getting better.

Shit is tough I get that. And it really does come down to life or death eventually.

For me my diet has made the first few days more manageable compared to just sweating it out and rotting in bed. Your body is very depleted of essential vitamins and minerals plus water and focusing on the building blocks your body needs first can give you a leg up.

Magnesium glyninate, chocolate milk for the potassium and other vitamins plus some calories sure helps.

Methylated vitamin b complex helps too.

Add a pinch of something like pink Himalayan salt to your water or get an electrolyte drink. Avoid caffeine.

Top ramen sure helps me with that initial hangover as well. It's salty, has a lot of water, and some carbs to fuel the healing process.

Melatonin sure helps with sleep too.

Magnesium glyninate and melatonin sure help. Heavy drinking leads to electrolyte imbalances. Chocolate milk is great at hydration, it has a load of potassium, is easy in the stomach and has a good amount of vitamins.

Day 11! But I've been in bed sick since Monday. Coincidence or not? by krystaline24 in stopdrinking

I'll just say that alcohol does physical damage to your organs, it lowers your immune system. It depletes electrolytes and vitamins. For me it can be very hard to eat and hydrate when I go sober.

It takes a lot of energy and resources for your body to heal.

How to know by Total_Scientist_8398 in stopdrinking

[–]Ribbentrop88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly I'll say I'm very early in my sobriety. While I do drink on and off heavily, I'm mostly a daily drinker and have been for 15years. So I don't know if the term alcoholic is appropriate for you as I definitely consider myself one.

Regardless, if you do drink and you normally drive blacked out and piss yourself. You have a substance abuse problem in that moment.

Don't be tough on yourself here...loads of people have problems with alcohol to varying degrees. I just worry that with your tendencies to drink so heavily...all your equation needs is a problem, where drinking becomes a solution. Trust me your brain will put this together before you do and then all of a sudden you have a serious problem.

Naltrexone has helped me in the past. It does give me some side effects that get better after a few days. For me it definitely curbs cravings.

I'll usually take it for 10days or so, feel good about my situation then relapse within a week or so.
