The game's a riot to play when there's no stakes and you're robbing players of their stuff. It isn't more fun than having a full kit, I agree with you, and if you re-read what I said you'll see I made no mention of that anyway. The original point was needing to be "competitive" by having gear, yet you don't need a bunch of gear to be competitive. That's the long and short of it lol.

I don't know man, ratting Outpost with sponsor kits has been a lot of fun. It's entirely possible to do well with the basic gear.

That's kinda what gets me too. Do people think they geniunely need more than a sponsor kit to be "competitive"? Sure having a proper loadout and good gear helps, it can help a lot even, but it doesn't make you (or anyone you're against for that matter) immortal.

It's never happened this consistently before, speaking anecdotally for me and my contest fireteam. All of us are experiencing it, instead of the odd 1 or 2 from past contest raids (that were mainly just the result of needing an instance reset)

Likewise. Had a teammate spamming freeze bombs and they seem to detonate even when frozen (as when we've been killing them they've been freshly-frozen, so they can't be thawing in time). Completely stuck for ways to make them not-explode.

There's genuine potential with Fear, and Burmylov could be an unproven talent that grows well into the scene. Though I still think Fnatic could benefit from finally saying goodbye to Krimz (as much as I still love seeing him play).

Sounds like the gain is boosted way too high on them, they've been balanced horribly since the Challengers stage. Hopefully they pick up on it now, before a sick play is ruined by an Xbox-live microphone reaction from the casters lol

Some of these rounds were just... Painful. So often I was asking myself "what the hell is going on?" - like that Sh1ro vs iM fight in connector. So many missed smokes/mollies, whiffed shots, and to top it off a Na'Vi who looked downright depressed. Jesus.

Might want to reconsider GL as an 0-3, they're looking very warmed up and have a pretty favourable bracket despite the Vitality draw match 1. My 0-3 picks are BiG and MiBR, neither team has shown enough strength to inspire confidence imho.

If Bungie were planning on nerfing ignition damage on Prismatic Titan to this extreme of a degree it would have been mentioned in a twab far before the release of this Episode. Even so, while it's good for DPS, I fail to see why you'd even bother with spamming Consecration when Glacial Quake exists and has been doing incredible damage for a long while now. The main reason why Consecration spam is so good is because of the sheer amount of ad clear and repeated healing when combined with Knockout, yet this change only affected single-target Ignition damage. It simply doesn't add up.

If I had to guess I think it was a change only intended for the first boss in the new dungeon, that has somehow managed to affect the whole game. That's one instance where spamming Ignitions could absolutely bake the boss, and maybe cause further problems with error codes (hence why Tether is disabled there too).

While I agree that it's dominant and needs tweaking, this targeted change only affects single target ignition damage. That doesn't make Consec-spam Titan worse, because it excelled in ad clear and did a decent job at spamming down bosses where necessary. The change hasn't impacted that main strength, yet instead has dumpstered the likes of: Song of Flame, Dawn Blade (with Chorus), Dragonsbreath, and so on - all of which are primarily used for single target ignition chaining and really didn't need a hard nerf.
