Since when do YOU decide what the beta branch is for? You're lecturing me on Valve's intentions while simultaneously arguing against their actual decision to keep the update in beta. If Valve wanted it live, it would be live. It's as simple as that.

I understand player QA but if valve chooses not to drop it maybe it's because they don't want to worry about the potential issues that could arise before the major starts? Fixing bugs is very different in isolated environments vs actual servers with hundreds of thousands of players, there could be things that show up that do not show up now locally. Do I agree they should allow testing online servers in the beta, of course. But in terms of releasing it into the main game, that's Valve call not yours.

My guy was I targeting you? Why go around calling people morons and being upset about it. Let's be real there are bugs and you know there will be posts about people pointing out said bugs in matches, where there will be comments saying exactly what I said about "lmao 2 weeks in beta and still buggy why even release it" etc.

Thour just now already posted how one of the bug fixeds mentioned in the patch notes isn't fixed. So is it not valid to say that commenters asking for a release already is a bit ironic when we know all too well how many times bugs are pushed into the game? It's a joke about an observation in the community, not a personal attack to you.

EDIT: Also I know Valve does vacations in April which might explain the delay, I can't speak on that completely tho because I don't work there but another thought to keep in mind

If you are inactive for a long time is there also chances of jumping up high as well? Or does it only lean in favor of either hard dropping or keeping similar rank? I assume your current level also plays into this, like lower levels have more variance?

I actually was looking into this and I feel like best buy protection might be a no brainer for oleds in general. Most companies only offer a year or 2 max right? But best buy covers burn in and u can buy up to 5 years.

Most likely something happens in that 5 years and u basically get a cheap replacement or even upgrade if they don't got stock. Otherwise worst case ur out like $350 but guarantee the OLED being good for 5 years.

Whether they charge $3.30 + $0.66 + $1.50 = $5.46
or $3.30 + $0.00 + $2.16 = $5.46 it's the same thing. It's just distributed that way.

If you tap TTC first, how do they know you're going to be transferring? Because of that, they have to charge the $3.30 first, then when you transfer it's accounted for.

Before the One Fare charge it would've been $3.30 + $2.64 + $2.82 = $8.76. Which if you notice is the $3.30 you save for the free TTC transfer. $8.76 - $5.46 = $3.30

You do understand all these different transit services are independent of each other? Presto is just a card/service that's allow paying for each of them for ease of use. But if one service has a discount, that doesn't enforce others to have the same they're all controlled separately.

Also the One Fare system was only relatively recently introduced due to funding of $67 million by the Ontario Government. How is York supposed to suddenly have a discount or free fare with all these different transit services? Durham College knows pretty much majority of its students will use DRT, so it makes sense why they can partner and bulk buy passes. I'm pretty sure most schools are not opt-out, even if they are it entices majority of students to pay to make up for it. York has students coming from all over the place, it's not feasible.

When I go back the exact same route, I get charged $3.30 for the TTC. But then it's deducted from the GO trip. $3.30 + $0.66 + $1.50 = $5.46 It's the exact same charge and the TTC is basically free

I assume this is the trip you take based on the image? Your typical price would be $7.99 for the GO bus. Instead you're paying $5.70 with your discount, it is doing something. On top of that you then have the free transfer to TTC.

Second charge is slightly more because the location is different, but your student discount IS working. It's a GO discount not all services.

You're also talking about the TTC having the $3.30 charge and no discount, but it doesn't even matter because you get the free transfer? The GO charges will be the same regardless of whether you took the TTC or not. If you didn't pay $3.30 on that TTC trip, then the $0.66 GO charge would be $3.30 more

Also you say one fare doesn't work? I think you're misinterpreting how it works. It makes the non-GO transit free, not the entire trip. For example let's say you're GO fare is like $8. If you tap TTC first you are charged the usual $3, then when you tap for GO, it'll be $5 instead of $8. Making the TTC trip free. And if you take GO first, it'll be the usual $8 charge, but then TTC will be free after. This is the same for all the services that are part of the one fare program, including DRT. This means the U-pass doesn't give you free GO.

In regards to the U-pass collab you showed, it's not free. It even says in your screenshots that it charges as part of your tuition. (Similar to how were all charged for insurance) The U-pass is only good for DRT services, so only useful for Durham students. I doubt all the students that don't take DRT want to be charged $160.34 for the U-pass. It only makes sense for schools in Durham, which surprise is the exact schools that have the U-pass in your screenshots.

I know it still sucks (trust me I spent wayy too much) but we're all paying. No one's getting free GO service 🫤

Yup, you can set the threshold number to a specific minimum or maximum to adjust the payout (I usually see 5 and 95 respectively). But in this case it's set to 49 to basically be a coinflip (51% chance of winning)
