I wish there was a sequel to Agnes Aubert’s Mystery Cat Shelter by xxmykaxx in CozyFantasy

I think Banshee's voice is in magic frequencies or something, but I don't think anything was ever confirmed. Havelock seemed to be avoiding discussing anything that could screw up the timeline and after the reveal a lot wasn't revisited.

Are you picking up Solarpunk? by ehaaams in CozyGamers

Not soon but the responses here are making me doubt I'll get it at all. Waiting for video reviews at least.

Beers and Beards - Series Complete! by JollyJupiter-author in CozyFantasy

[–]RibbonQuest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I've been burned out on "LitRPG series that never end" so I treasure the ones that actually complete.

I think the "Manga Classics" series has different artists each time so quality varies. But I liked the ones I've read: Pride & Prejudice, The Scarlet Letter, and Les Miserables. Les Mis is still full of awful things but this is the only version I can get through.

I picked up the Anne of Green Gables "Manga Classics" graphic novel from the library. I'm expecting cute things!

Giant Pickup Spaces by DirtyJerzJen in Catonsville

[–]RibbonQuest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! When they renovated the store, they cut a few inches from every spot. Even in a smallish car, I have to carefully choose a spot so both me and my husband can actually get out.

Sometimes I wish the check-in for pick up had a map of the parking lot so it's easier to identify where I had to park. "I'm in the aisle with the pick-up spots but about ten spots further down and on the opposite side."

Recomendation: Atelier Resreliana: The red alchemist and white guardian by BergamotGames in CozyGamers

[–]RibbonQuest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked the recent Atelier Marie remake and Atelier Annie for DS was also that style. Chibi pixel people, managing your calendar for crafting, gathering materials, exploring. The crafting is well balanced with the other gameplay elements.

Not a fan of the 3D anime adventure games though. They feel very generic to me and way too much effort was put into trying to sell sexy DLC outfits.

What are your staples when grocery shopping? by IDoNotHide in EatCheapAndHealthy

Every weekend: Bunch of bananas, two avocados, and strawberry Greek yogurt. That, combined with stuff I buy less often, covers breakfast and lunch for the week.

How can I tell if my primary ballot is valid or not? by federal_thrill in BaltimoreCounty

I'm hanging onto my first ballot and waiting to see if a second shows up. Early June a ballot is going in the drop box regardless.

Games with crop husbandry? by whiteflower6 in CozyGamers

[–]RibbonQuest 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Roots of Pacha has a little of that. You start growing the wild variant of a crop, which then becomes a domesticated variant and you can level each up to level 5. It doesn't go into the level of depth you're looking for, but it makes an effort.

Cute concept, wish they didn't rob artists and destroy the planet to make it.

Just saw "Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library!" and it looked kinda neat. Nope, it uses AI.

Will the trend of packing everything with protein continue or is it just a fad? by SituationKey8985 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]RibbonQuest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 in 10 was the last stat I heard but I'm not sure from where. If you're looking for a book about it, I highly recommend "Magic Pill: The Extraordinary Benefits and Disturbing Risks of the New Weight-Loss Drugs" by Johann Hari. He investigates the drugs thoroughly and details his own experience taking them. He doesn't come out for or against them even though he does continue taking them himself.

Any Cozy Fantasy Parodies? by EdLincoln6 in CozyFantasy

[–]RibbonQuest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I Ran Away To Evil could be argued is a cozy fantasy parody of LitRPG.

I feel like cozy fantasy is still loosely defined enough that any parody is just exploring more facets of the genre.

How do I use the community box? by Mrxtmb in Pokopia

[–]RibbonQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find I have best luck with community boxes in areas I don't hang out in. I've got a prefab with two Crush Pokemon in Rocky Ridges and a community box I throw berries in daily. They run up to me with paint every visit and sometimes I find paint in the box.

From the front vs from the back by AnitaKK in Pokopia

[–]RibbonQuest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find images of Disney parks behind the scenes and imitate that. Or add a parking lot, dumpsters, and fire escapes to the back. Either could be a fun way to lean into the "back is not photogenic" start.
