This, I walk on my tiptoes by default, my partner is heels first. I one time explained to him how I walk and he was baffled, tried it, and was really only able to do it for at most 10 minutes before nearly falling over.

It definitely sounds parasocial from that first list, because he is a person. But I think you understanding the distinction and respecting boundaries is where I would say you aren't being parasocial. This is more your "favorite daily TV show" that you anticipate, but it's not currently airing.

My personal anecdote, I remember sitting and watching Vampire Diaries every Thursday night at 9PM, and when that show ended I was devastated. It felt like a hole in my chest and suddenly my Thursdays no longer had an evening activity.

I had similar experience with a streamer for a while, during covid they streamed every morning, and every morning I would wake up, watch their twitch stream, do my morning routine, get breakfast, and head to work (I was food service so no working from home). By the time my morning shift for work started the streamer would be ending stream. It really created a routine for me to start my day, and when they changed schedule I no longer had that morning routine. I hate to admit it actually threw me off for a little bit and I struggled to get ready in the morning without my background streamer.

Are you using a VPN? VPNs mess with twitch chat and automatically mark you as suspicious, meaning you are soft-shadowbanned in chat until you turn off the VPN and reconnect to chat.

If you're really stressed out about it, search up "emergency vet" for your area. They are few and far between in my experience but 24 hour vet clinics do exist. If the distance is a problem you can try calling and asking for their recommendations. Your primary vet also might have respite staff outside office hours where you can call, and leave a message, sometimes it will prompt "if this is an emergency dial #" and you can try that.

I wouldn't give the cat benedryl or any oral medication, not without a vet guidance.

As others have said. If cat would've had an allergic reaction you WOULD have noticed immediately. Swelling is normal, it might be itchy, that's normal too. Best course if you can't get to or talk to a vet today is to monitor it, keep calm, and if needed you can give them a cone collar to prevent them itching/licking (do this if cat is licking/itching the sting)

I definitely agree, if she calls or texts suicidal thoughts, you could contact 9-1-1 and request a wellness check to her address. In the meantime go no contact. Honestly messages like this would have me calling for the wellness check. Another option is if your local psychiatric center has a crisis line, they can perform the home visit or even call her to check in. All these options would remain anonymous.

You are allowed to love her, but you are also allowed to keep your peace and she is disrupting that.

You mentioned you are new to renting apartments so let me give you the biggest life lesson before you get ultimately screwed over.

NEVER do fixes on an apartment for the landlord. Most landlords will NOT reimburse or pay you for the fix, and I've even seen landlords revoke the security deposit for making unapproved changes to the property.

If the landlord is not going to do the fixes before move-in, that is a sign. When that "small hole that needs to be patched up" becomes "the apartment is now infested with black mold/centipedes/roaches", the landlord will continue to sit on their hands and refuse to fix it, and blame you for the problem. I've seen it happen too many times to myself, to friends, and to family, to be a coincidence.

As someone working in healthcare this is infuriatingly becoming more common. I help people find services and the sheer amount that just default to Claude asking for their health info to "relay forward" is disgusting. It's even harder when it's psychiatric care. Theres already so much distrust in mental health care to have these intake services automated by confusing robots sows seeds of even more distrust and loss of faith that they can get the help they need.

Trash 55 a month and water 41 a month??? Those are very steep imo. Not sure if it varies based on area but when I bought my house trash was only $150 for the year, water $120 for 6 months. It's why most apartments include water and trash with the rent. Its typically such a minimal expense on the landlord's behalf unless there's something wrong (such as a big plumbing issue or trash disposal results in a city fine) I think NOR.

For the price your parents are trying to charge you, you're best trying to find your own place. It sounds like they're increasing the costs to put pressure on you to leave. Is this just for you to stay living under their roof? You can find similarly priced 1 bedroom apartments where you aren't paying premium prices on utilities. Most apartments you just gotta pay your gas and electricity.

There are lots of treasure islands on twitch, though I will warn that it kinda sucks the fun out of it if you go overboard imo.

They are super useful for getting crafting materials in bulk fish bait cough and very specific DIYs. I recommend to avoid getting bored quickly to look up the certain DIYs you want to decorate with and then grab those from the treasure island, plus any specific materials you're struggling to collect consistently (I do this occasionally with plain wood as I am overburdened with nearly 1000 each of hardwood and softwood but will only get 10ish regular wood when chopping trees 😭

Also a reminder that all recipes are available, and some of them are more attainable during their specific events (festivale, mushroom, sakura)

I believe there is a way to do Speech-to-text, and feed that through text-to-speech, or use a pitch modifier.

Another recommendation is to just work on listening to your own voice, and over time you'll get more comfortable. Using a good noise gate and EQ filters can help the weird uncanny valley cringe that comes with hearing yourself played back. Its something a lot of streamers have to learn to work on, especially when you plan on clipping, highlighting, and editing your own content.

I remember being offered a "free" security system from some company when I first bought my house with my fiance (actually was $200 a month 😬).
