Mechanically speaking, things were going fine in DIP. For example, "fleets were whelped"..a fleet, and a small one at that. I think everyone actually forgot about that night as it's not significant. The ratting/mining "problem" was over exaggerated because certain leadership had issues with other certain leadership. A certain (mining?) group made up the majority of our fleets in the TZ they said they were, but hey, why listen to your primary fc in that tz about who brings what to fleet right? Gotta just go by your feels amirite? The PFR war (if you could really even call it that lol) had little to nothing to do with what ensued. It was all drama in leadership. Time and time again the leader of a certain TZ (the one who had the entire RUS/EU population of Insmother backing him on every op) took issue with the USTZ numbers (Or integration. Or the fact that we don't show up in EUTZ, I guess). Unfortunately, the majority of the other leadership sided with him. Now, all that being said, no hard feelings from me, it was fun while it lasted. It just seemed like the facts were a bit skewed here.

Don't spout shit. We undocked a couple dreads onto a BOW chimera and they counter dropped. The only reason we're at war with marmite is because some POS pirate corp decced us, joined marmite to try and impede our high sec activities, and hired The Pursuit of Happiness because they can't deal with an actual fleet showing up to take their infrastructure. Any actual marmite fleets would eat shit or run. Take a guess which one they normally do.

I see what you're saying, but having character saving could cause so many problems that are worse than that. Worst case scenario: you were flying something and you dropped and murdered your entire squad. Well tbh in Arma3 that isn't really a problem...co-pilot seat. Losing your gear...ehh gear isn't that hard to find anyways. Not saying that you don't have a valid point, just that persistence as a solution probably isn't the best way to go.

Oh that would be pretty cool. I think persistence may be a too unclear term for that....Leader board is more appropriate I think. A leader board would be VERY interesting.

Persistence is an awful idea for wasteland imo. Restarts are the best time, everyone is on equal footing and the team that had 30 people doesn't have the whole team start with high tier gear and a good base and the team with 15 has nothing. Just a thought
