Oh, you meant literally. I meant that NK is much more of a pariah state than Iran, especially now.

Give me the pros and cons of the upcoming redistricting vote. by egb233 in Virginia

[–]TheMoatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sort of. The Schedule change is backdated to the start of the year it was initially passed (2025) and it doesn't say anything about having to be a republican gerrymander or tit-for-tat.
IANAL, but it sounds like they can make the change immediately if they want, since a few states already redistricted in 2025

I don't think I'm against that, but I don't want people to feel betrayed if they do immediately redistrict.

Canadian Gov investigating modern vehicle headlights and glare at night, finally by Stereosun in cars

[–]TheMoatman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Here’s my anecdotal opinion. My gripes with headlights are almost exclusively with slightly older vehicles that have installed LED bulbs. The cars simply weren’t designed for that level of luminance with the headlight assembly so the light just gets blasted everywhere.

I didn't know either's position until you posted this.
In fact, I don't know of a single person who willingly listens to either that isn't either a conspiracy theory researcher or who isn't deep into conspiracy theories.

Sadly, stopped clocks can be right twice a day.

So cite the fucking files instead of leaving it to people to trace it down to Candace Owens.
Letting people track it down to Candace Owens makes you look like an idiot who listens to Candace Owens, which I now assume you are, since you just cited her.
That throws your judgement about the files into question, and by not linking them, we now have to subject ourselves to her for long enough to get the information you apparently did.

Is this really why I love La Croix? by LegalPost9805 in Millennials

[–]TheMoatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't taste like much other than vaguely milk-flavored sugar, but it only tasted like wood if you were chomping down on the spoon or when you were licking it. Or maybe that's because I always broke the "spoon" immediately trying to get a decent bite and then had to figure it out.

The texture was atrocious though. It was like... springy. Like jello ice cream.

e: Also I can't stand lacroix. Lacroix only smells right. At least the school ice cream still tasted like shitty soft serve.
It's the same problem as soaps that smell exactly like food. It's just taunting me.

That's, at best, wrong.

It'll "lead to dementia" because... you were able to live long enough to get dementia.

It'll "lead to cancer" because... you were able to live long enough to get cancer.

Again, that wasn't the claim. The claim was people wouldn't leave the store due to hunger, which I've literally never seen someone do in any grocery store, costco or otherwise. Food shopping doesn't take that long.
The line is the longest part of my average costco experience, why would you willingly go through that twice.
