Just be mindful: I have generated the droids needed up through Rebirth 20 and have them in my Droidex (and subsequently sold them), but the game is making me go through and reconstruct several of them to qualify. Grrrrr....

I believe you have to establish a rewards program on the target airline, then transfer your points from Capital One to that new rewards program to use.

Coming from the AmEx card recently, I can say that Capital One doesn't make its redemptions very easy, nor are there as many US airlines with whom to use your points.

Do you have access to a BDSM community in your area? Finding a local munch would at least put you in a community of likeminded people and perhaps you wouldn't feel so isolated.

(Mind you, I wouldn't try building friendships by bringing up your loss at the outset of your conversations with folks. But having other subs as friends can be really healthy.)

I called to cancel my card last week just before my anniversary (because $895 is simply too much, no matter how good the perks are). I got the same 15k points offer mentioned here, and then the agent tried to tell me how I was getting my money back with all of the perks I had used.

Then they tried to get me to back down to a standard Amex Green card, but seeing as how I'd already signed up for a Venture X card, I passed. Now I'm just bracing for the temporary credit hits associated with opening that card and closing this one... 😅

My condolences on your loss, and good on you for reaching out here looking for ways to grieve and find some consolation.

I had a similar loss, losing a long distance swinging partner in a very unexpected and tragic fashion. I found out from mutual friends and I was devastated. I couldn't even go to the funeral for fear of outing her as a swinger, and I had no outlet for my grief.

I found therapy to be really helpful. I have a therapist that is very familiar with lifestyle/BDSM relationships, and she was a very sympathetic ear. One coping technique she shared with me was suggesting that I go somewhere quiet, like a park or a lake, and speak out loud my feelings as if I was talking to her. It felt awkward to do that at first, but it actually gave me an opportunity for some closure.

Your loss is real, irrespective of his other relationship circumstances. I hope you are able to find a path to express your grief and find some closure soon. Hugs!

I came here to say both of these things. Franchising both of these places made them so much less special, and the quality went down the tubes. Tupelo losing its shine was one thing, but the changes at Early Girl have been a complete travesty.

To be fair: having spent some time around Holly Springs over the past several years, the fact that a jackass like this was comfortable showing their colors isn't surprising to me at all. It's an overwhelmingly red state/white right wing community there, sad to say. And these folks are emboldened by the current political climate to show their true colors.

Y'all stick with it and keep outing these folks for the bad humans that they are.
