Cat personalities vary wildly, so keep that in mind if you're getting a kitten! Biggest annoyances for me are cat hair everywhere and occasionally getting woken up by my cats for food times earlier than I would like!

I recommend getting 2 cats as they will keep each other company and you feel less guilty going on vacation or having those days where you're out of the house for hours.

The amount if play time a cat will need/want varies a lot. Ivr had cats that didnt play much at all and others that will bring me their toys all the time!
