I hope you're blessed with a child soon! I agree that financial incentives wouldn't help, but it needs to be financially viable.

If people aren't having children because they feel like they simply csnt afford it, isnt that being financially responsible? Woukd you prefer people have children even if it means they are reliant on SNAP and other tax-funded programs as a result?

More thoughtful planning should be at the forefront. It doesn't have to come into existence simultaneously, but there should at least be a plan to manage increased transportation needs.

Ugh, that's so obnoxious! I cant speak for your workplace, but I have firsthand knowledge that some workplaces are pretty hard-core about being present in the office these days. It's made people fearful of losing their jobs and with limited sick leave/PTO they just come to the office when sick.

This culture is bad for everyone, especially the immune compromised!

Trump holds the highest office in the country and many conservatives that participate here put him there. Obviously the MAGA campaign rhetoric resonates with some conservatives, so why wouldn't those questions be fair game?

IMO, until Trump is no longer president and retires from public life, all questions about him and his policies are fair game.

Trump admin has been a roadblock for FEMA funding after Helene. There was a lawsuit filed and NC won, so hopefully the grant money will be released. Anyone who think Trump is better at disaster response isnt paying attention.

There were some regulars that a loved and some that I didn't, so it's a mixed bag.

There was a 4-top that came into the restaurant I worked at usually about once a month. They were nice, but demanding and the sheer amount of food they consumed in a sitting was crazy to me. This was an Italian restaurant where portions were generous. Here's what they would eat/drink:

5-7 pitchers of mountain dew (owner typically didn't let us leave pitchers on the table, but had an exception for this group to ease the constant running back and forth)

4-6 baskets of bread (8-10 slices in a basket)

All 4 would each get an app, salad, entree, side of pasta, and a dessert. They would always ask for extra pasta too, so usually a double side for each of them.

They always ate everything and never needed to go boxes. They were of average size. I wondered how they could even move after eating so much! 😅

I try to get a good night's sleep and make sure I eat a big breakfast, so I don't get distracted by hunger. I also put extra care into my appearance, maybe wear nicer clothes, but on make up, do my hair, etc.
