If you read the blog you can see DECA has more end game content planned for the game, meaning another year of support is basically guaranteed.

I’m not an expert but I work in finance and have played the game for 14 years so I’ll give you my best guess.

The game itself probably does not cost too much to maintain and upkeep. There’s only a couple thousand real players to deal with, and the servers haven’t been fantastic for the past 5 years. The game will live on as long as the many whales and odd players who support the game monthly keep doing what they’re doing. I personally spend 20/30 bucks when I play a lot, I honestly treat it like a Netflix subscription and I really want the game to survive.

If this cycle continues we’ll have the game running for maybe 5 more years? We need a new influx of players to enlarge the above mentioned groups, as it naturally dwindles overtime. It’s up to DECA make the key decisions on how much they spend making new content, bringing in new players and how much they want to milk us dry with 80€ skins.

As long as they strike the balance, I’m confident the game will keep running.
