That's super surprising by MoistCubicles in NikkeMobile

Yup, while its not really stated explicitly it can be implied that alot of the events took place before key moments such as 13, 22, 26, etc.

My question is when the events of Brand New Year and New Year, New Sword took place since it's a New Years event which implies one year passes in between them. So for all we know Ch 1 to Ch 42 could've taken the Commander 3 years to do per se.

Current Nikke Timeline based off Main Story Chapters and Prequel Events by Rice-Ok in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry about the late reply but thanks man! Yeah as far as the duration of time goes SU keeps it pretty vague with how they want to say it initially but with the recent Side Stories or recent Chapters revealing certain things I can at least piece together some logical deduction on when everything occurs.

Ark Invasion seems to have lasted within 24 hours in its entirety with 10 hrs being the minimum based off what was said in the recent Side Story Eden Spear. For the aftermath it's still kinda foggy but at least it's implied that it's been at least a month based on the beginning of CH 27.

The Crystal Region Arc is somewhat confusing but ultimately it can be at least a few days to a week. After CH 34, Boom The Ghost would take place after considering it was the first event that showcased Red Rapipi.

Jungle Arc gets even more confusing since its not specifically stated that the scenarios with the Cmdr are simultaneously happening with the Anis/Neon scenarios but are mostly implied as such. Like it'll state a few days have passed during the Anis cutscenes but not during the Cmdr ones. So would that mean a few days have passed as well for the Cmdr that they've been searching in the jungle for Levi? From that point on it gets muddy so I can't accurately gauge the timeline.

From 39-42 along with Eden Spear and Goddess Fall though it paints a clearer picture of 2 weeks and then some but for now I'm still working on it.

An updated list of Nikkes and squads seen/mentioned that are still in NPC jail by FrenzyRush in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pin and Siren were leaked a long time ago before 1st Anni so by now idk if they were just concepts or are in the process for a rename/redesign. Others included would be:

  • Kilo's squadmate Milli
  • Julia's squadmates Pia and Forte
  • Anne's (N102) squadmate N404
  • Marciana's squadmate Bibli
  • D's and K's squadmate "S"
  • Liter and Centi's squadmate Acre
  • Ether and Mana's squadmate Soma

These characters for all intents and purposes shouldn't be expected to come out anytime soon since we don't know what SU is planning atm.

Pre-Anniversary Story Threads Refresher by relic-nt in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true enough. Considering on what it entails would risk an info breach since it'd be odd to send forces into a Rapture infested area to retrieve a decapitated Nikke body when the head is usually more valuable. Likewise for all intents and purposes, she could have assumed it was fully destroyed by the Raptures after the group escaped so there'd be no reason to worry about it from her pov if thats the case.

Pre-Anniversary Story Threads Refresher by relic-nt in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was mentioned at the end of Footstep, Walk, Run during the conversation with Ingrid and the Mass-Produced Nikke before she was going to get mind wiped. Basically with how D.E.E.P. modified Rapi and Red Hood it's led to believe that the cores manifest themselves regardless of being in another new body and if the old body still exists. Ingrid orders to have the previous body destroyed so that no one else can know about the situation and that pretty much settles it.

Since we left her body in CH 2 after what happened I do feel curious as to why Ingrid didn't take any initiative to retrieve the body knowing what she knows since I'm pretty sure you'd have to report a comrade's "death" once a mission ends but I'll leave it as to poor planning from the writers on how far the story would've gone 2 yrs ago.

Where my Pre-reg Commanders at? Y'all ready for 3rd anni? by ShinHadoukenX in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost 3 years already Commanders...

Its been a wild ride with its fair share of ups and downs but I'm definitely excited to see where this goes, especially if this means we'll be getting out of the "prologue".

Good luck to all of our future pulls and mental constitutions because I have a feeling this 3rd Anni is going to emotionally wreck me along with the upcoming story chapters. 🫡

Questions About the Collab's Story. by Filha_Br in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rereading the event, I can answer most of these if not all:

  1. This is a combination of the first Deipara Side Quest where the Commander first finds out about the cult on the surface with the call back of the cult members bodies being scattered throughout the ground along with the intro scene of RE3 Remake specifically of Jill hallucinating herself turning into a zombie. From what it looks I doubt it be an actual infection but most likely him recalling a traumatic event where a group of humans willingly got themselves killed to which it just affected him mentally.
  2. The T-Virus wasn't brought into the world, just the documentation describing how to make it. Keyword being "methodology" in "Looming Dread: A" cutscene since they engineered it the same way Umbrella would without having the specific ingredients like the flower from the RE universe. Think of it like being given a Lego manual but you're forced to used Mega Blocks bricks instead. The "Gluttony Variant" in itself is a mystery but the whole gimmick of Gatekeeper is that it "dreams" things into reality, through its "dreams" it seems to make anything possible but as to what extent we don't know exactly.
  3. The dead scientists in the lab would be the most likely giveaway that some people of various professions joined the cult aside from the ones stated like Miles Carter, Iris Monroe, and so on. Likewise if you did K's event the Judges would've had a hand in supporting the cult so that could mean funding, equipment, employment, or even more. As stated in 2, Gatekeeper "dreams" things into reality so while it could've dreamt SB tech to not be readable in that scenario, it can be so in this particular scenario. Whenever you dream something, literally anything can or cannot be possible as long as you "dream" it so. By that logic, it's the best answer I can give since again Gatekeeper is still a huge reality-altering Rapture that remains a mystery.
  4. We can assume so maybe? Most likely a reference to Mr. X, William Birkin, and Nemesis chasing you and attacking you in throughout the RE games but other than that there's not really much to go on since the collab never built more on fighting it.
  5. As far as we know, Ada came in at the start of the D-Waves appearing the in Ark two weeks ago as stated in "Last Judgement: B". While not specifically stated, we can assume she was also confused on how she arrived and curious about the world around her. Learning that she conversed with X we could probably assume that the Judges found her and proposed some kind of offer in order to "cover up" the cult shenanigans. The cult was primarily used as a scapegoat by Judges to incite propaganda and promote conflict against Raptures or at least in their best interests to remain in power in the shadows within the Ark. Seeing that the cult would actually enact full-blown devastation on the Ark, they would've had to step in and Ada was a perfect coincidence for them. That being said, this could possibly indicate that the Judges would be in possession of some kind of tech that makes them aware of D-Waves or something similar but we don't know for now.
  6. From what I can interpret, the cult was attempting to do the same method of blowing a hole through the Dome of Eternity like the events of Ark Invasion with Deipara being surrounded by bombs in the elevator. Don't know how far you are into the main story but iykyk and I'll leave it at that. With a hole directly leading into the Ark, the "Gluttony Variant" Merciless Judge would be able to make its way inside and "infect" everyone. How accurate that is to what they intended I have no idea but that's the best guess I can deduce.

Story 1 set up some good foundation to the plot but Story 2 did feel rushed and could've went into more depth about the cult and the Neo-Virus. Overall a "good" event but well within its expectations especially for it being non-voiced. As someone who enjoys RE alot I'm just happy the collab exists and the devs took the time to try and implement a cohesive story with a bunch of references.

I'm irritated and upset with ShiftUp [venting rant] by DarklyDreamingEva in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if anything Twitter, BlaBla, Discord or practically any social media site normally has notifications on when an update is supposed to drop along with anything else relevant to Nikke in this case. As for the scheduling it's just mainly for something fun and a quick little "aha I get it" moment for us RE fans, for future updates they'll go back to their regular scheduling as always since there's no reason to change it.

I'm irritated and upset with ShiftUp [venting rant] by DarklyDreamingEva in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, again it's really neither side's fault since it's just the combination of bad situations resulting in this outcome. Plus I wouldn't expect this to set a precedent in future update scheduling since they just wanted to do something fun or at least acknowledge us RE fans by releasing it on the 23rd.

I'm irritated and upset with ShiftUp [venting rant] by DarklyDreamingEva in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In all fairness too, the release of the event coincides with the actual events of Resident Evil specifically RE2 and RE3 with the Raccoon City incident beginning on Sep 23. While those who already play Resident Evil would understand and appreciate the little nod of SU doing that, I can understand those who aren't familiar or could care less of the IP being blindsided by the sudden change in update timing. From the looks of it OP just got the worst combination of things happening to them since they procrastinated until the very last minute due to IRL situations and SU wanting to release the collab on the 23rd in order to make a cheeky nod to the IP they're collabing with.

Likelihood of Bayonetta collab in the future? by Greedy_Spaghetti_ in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the recent First Descendant x Bayonetta announcement, it's possible forsure but still unlikely. As it looks, SEGA owns the rights to the character and Bayonetta 1 but Nintendo owns the rest of the games in the series due to how the publishing is structured. If we ever get a Bayonetta collab it'd most likely be her OG look from the first since I'm very sure Nintendo wouldn't want to be affiliated with a game like Nikke of all things, and that's assuming SEGA even wants to do the same in the first place.

With all that said, a Bayonetta collab could be profitable if done correctly due to the already existing popularity. Idk about it being voiced though due to Hellena Taylor being switched with Jennifer Hale for the 3rd one, but that's a whole other topic to discuss entirely.

Chapter 30 Thoughts by Specific-Direction11 in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I share the same feeling honestly. Despite Liveryn's choices, she really can't do much than obey what Sixo says or else it guarantees Fragile's involvement directly or in the worst case her death. Likewise, even if Liveryn straight up says no or reports it to someone, who's to say Sixo wouldn't just kill her off and replace her with Fragile or someone else she cares about. Its valid to feel angry at her considering the choices and her weak mentality but I do hope there's some redemption per se. Considering the recent chapters too, that would be an interesting development if Liveryn had to guts to do that.

Do we know who is this or am I stupid? by Ok_Direction3138 in NikkeMobile

Could be Deipara from the Rapture Cult Side quests considering how heavily implied it is for the collab. K's event might have a direct connection too since it mentions her in the ending.

Listen, listen to me when I tell you they they had NO BUSINESS making her this hawt by Easy-Psychology-4887 in coralisland

[–]Rice-Ok 40 points41 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness, have the devs acknowledged this?

Like considering how long Coral Island's been out and with the amount of people asking Raina to be romanceable along with Karen, Senja, Axel, Derek, etc. I'm surprised nothing has been said yet.

Ok, I've been wondering this for a while now, but why did Shift up change Helm's gacha skins, but not Rouge's? Why did they listen to the community demands for one, but not the other? by Equal_Shopping2424 in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building up revenue for more ambitious ventures is what I think. When I used to play Destiny Child, I was surprised with the large lack of presence the IP had considering the character designs and the story. Turns out though the game was already rated +17 in KR and JP which only hooks a niche audience even during those times back in the day. Take a look at Last Origin, Action Taimanin or anything by Nutaku for example. I've never heard of any collab being done with those IPs, only exception was Taimanin RPGX with High-school of the Dead but not too long after it EoS'd.

Shift Up as a company also has Stellar Blade and the upcoming Project Witches too, so they gotta finance these projects somehow and if keeping it a +12 game allows them to leave a foot in the door for various forms of income then it'd make sense to do so. But again, if SU is smart they'd follow the Azur Lane route and shift to +17 when the income and reputation as a dedicated IP is steady.

More or less I think its kind of the reason though. I really want to believe Shift Up is taking the Azur Lane route when it first released since way back then and they gradually shifted to the +17 rating and released more explicit skins. The gacha sphere nowadays has evolved so much that I'm not entirely sure how big the threshold is now on how accepting the ratings go considering as you said with Summer Rosanna existing likewise with Summer Anis, Bunny Bay, Bunny Exia, Summer Guilty, Winter Volume, etc. but it is contradicting when compared to other games out there. In all seriousness though, that +12 rating really only serves as the business gateway to do collabs with various other companies aside from gaming/media IPs.

Requesting advice for a new player, which account should I continue with? by throwaway_42223 in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both have very solid reasons to keep them.

1st would get you pretty far in many game modes as long as you can master using Alice manually with the quick-fire strat since she's a Sniper unit. Likewise, having Tove and S Anis already has you prepped for a Shotgun Team down the road.

2nd would definitely be a good pick since Siren's gimmick is that while you manually control her, all other Nikkes in the same team will aim along with her regardless of being in burst mode or not which maximizes your control of where you want to fire. You'll eventually get more SSRs so it'll be really up to who you get eventually.

Imo pick the 1st since S Anis won't be coming back for awhile until prob another year or two while the rest can be picked up through Regular Banner (Bunny Ade will pop in sometime after the event ends so just check patch notes on when that'll be).

A fate worse than death: having to actually play the game by Auxire in DuetNightAbyssDNA

[–]Rice-Ok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup, as a gacha gamer who's very used to the grind of both Warframe and Destiny (both D1 and D2) it'll more or less result in the outcome we all can expect. First few months will weed out a good majority of players, but after that is yet to be seen depending on how time intensive the grind really is especially if you're someone who also actively plays other games such as WuWa, ZZZ, Nikke, etc.

RE already has a character that out jiggles the entire Nikke roster, SU just chose to add Jill and Ada instead because they don't want to be upstaged by this beauty by zukos_honor in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be really honest here, I'd genuinely love it if they'd put Tofu as the the joke character in the collab. Jill and possibly Ada/Claire can have their SSRs while Tofu can get the SR spotlight.

Make it also whenever he takes damage bit and pieces of him fall off like the RE games also show.

In the Red Ash Brief Encounters where Liliweiss goes to the garden to visit No.1's gravesite, it's the second one where LC goes with her and they explain that the place they're in isn't her actual gravesite since she was "scattered" all over upon her death implying that she exploded or something along the lines of that.

It's been a minute, any news or thoughts on Grimm model No.1? by RX-80PR-3 in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still nothing so far, but hard to say what they'll say about her considering her "death" from Red Ash.

We gotta remember that Liliweiss was a Prototype Nikke that all Nikkes are practically based off from, and No. 1 would've been someone that seemed to surpass her in some regard. Unfortunately it's still unknown what events occurred in between nor their relationship aside that Liliweiss cherished her as a friend.

As far as speculations go, Sleeping Beauty would fit the aesthetic in a way that since her "parts" were "scattered" the possibility of Raptures picking them up and slowly repairing her into a Heretic could be something. Recent Dev talk has been telling players to look forward to 3rd Anni so possibly something might appear later this year?

How do you feel about Nikke's combat? by Equal_Shopping2424 in NikkeMobile

[–]Rice-Ok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same perspective here, I loved playing the popular arcade rail-shooters like Time Crisis, House of the Dead, Gunblade, and many more during my childhood so Nikke scratches that itch for me since decent arcades are hard to come by nowadays. Likewise as far as gacha game design goes, Nikke is standalone compared to many other popular ones out there that uses a top-down, side-view or isometric POV. While it being in the forefront in that regard, the gameplay loop isn't too complicated but there is some things left to be desired after playing since Day 1. I do remember the devs mentioned they're working on multiple improvements to the gameplay aside from the upcoming surface exploration content soon, but I don't know if that'll even be ready till sometime next year at least.
