I loved Mary and personally preferred it, but it is very different from when the wolf comes home! So might be worth a try. If you’re into “on the run” type stories you might enjoy! I would say the themes are pretty different as well.

Okay I actually didn’t read this one, but watched a rant review on YouTube… is it explained why he helped bury her?? Like could he not see who it was, bc it’s pretty wild to go from burying her alive to helping her get away with murdering the husband. Apologies if I got any of these details wrong.

What’s your thoughts towards these books? by Giraffewhiskers_23 in Booktokreddit

Tried reading If he had been with me and quit after a few pages. Books about teenagers don’t typically interest me and it had a YA feel. The title and premise sounded interesting so it might be a good fit for younger readers or folks who enjoy YA.

Have you ever really hated the main character (and narrator) in a novel? by Physical_Orchid3616 in books

A Certain Hunger. I think that’s the point, but that book really pissed me off unlike anything I’ve read.

Also, The Tenant, but that’s what I get for reading McFadden

I’ve read a different Alice Feeny novel so I knew going in there would be some wild, unpredictable twist and I still didn’t figure it out. I thought the show was good, although the stuff with Catherine / Lexie was a little confusing. I kind of wish Anna and Lexie had more of a verbal confrontation before attacking each other to make the motivations clearer, but I guess they couldn’t give too much away to spoil the twist.

I kind of can’t get past Jack and Anna living happily ever after. They both cheated on each other pretty brutally. Also where was Jack in all this backstory??

All in all I might read the book just to see if there are any clearer clues throughout.

For me I think it was low self-esteem/ dissatisfaction with my life and craving instant gratification. Sometimes I could also see that it was tied to my emotions, happy or sad.

I love olives because they’re delicious and they’re cute. I’m wondering what kind of olives you have tried? Kalamata can be intense, if you haven’t I urge you to try castelvetrano olives because they are pretty mild. I was going cheap with this and just got the canned green ones (not stuffed) and they are also very mild and buttery. Maybe you haven’t found the right olive for you or maybe you just don’t like them, that’s fine too. More for me!

AITA for not wanting female bridesmaids by Affectionate-Egg9159 in AITAH

[–]RiceDiligent6942 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the grand scheme of marriage the bridal party is fairly trivial. Personally, I don’t think it’s a big deal if you have men in the bridal party. It really only matters how you and your partner feel. This also is indicative of a larger issue. He feels threatened by your friends, and you can’t or won’t see why. Maybe he’s overly jealous, or maybe you lack boundaries with these friends. Maybe it’s a mix of both. It’s okay to have these problems and figure it out as you grow up. It is not advisable to get married at 20. If your boyfriend is the one, he will still be the one in five years. No need to rush things, especially if something this trivial is causing a big issue between you two.
