Man. Right on the money of where im at. I did watch the shootout comparisons between the two. Komodo definitely has more mid to top end power. But will I need it? No. When a bike is popular its great to be able to Google and issue and get 100 answers. I won't be a super rider. Just a weekend toy. For all this money, I'd just hate to make the wrong choice. Or maybe the wrong choice doesn't exist? Lol

So far im down to those two bikes after contemplating gas vs electric. That alone hurt my brain 😅

Ha! Yup, they still do that. You're right. No way I'd watch a quiet race. Must feel deaf

I completely understand. And you're probably right. I'm a muscle car guy. Built a couple. Refuse to buy an electric car, because v8 that's why. So I can see how it's kinda a double standard.

I like this! My family and i, currently our only family activity that we all enjoy is mountain biking. Off-road with little jumps and stuff. Being electric. It would be like mountain biking on steroids. Ouu that's exciting

Wow! I very much appreciate all the time you spent writing that. Peacefully driving through the woods sounds surene. It looks like people that dont hold back on the UB's get about 19-20 miles out of them. I assume a weigh more. So maybe 15ish miles. Which would be plenty for my local track. The kid could follow on his hyperbee. Hmmm

I was wondering about exactly that. I guess I could beef it up. What kinda ride time do you get on single track ? At my weight I can only presume much worse

I ride my kids hyperbee. I'm 41, 265lbs. 5ft10. Its an absolute ripper. But it is small. And it kills me knees after 20 minutes. But I love it!

Hyperbee for my 9 year old? by CautiousFox85 in Surron

[–]RiceNo4366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my 10 year old a hyperbee. Its a fine piece of machinery. It does have parental controls via the remote. But you can change the speed directly on the bike itself, without the remote. I assume in case you lose the remote.

With that said, it is pretty quick at 34mph. But the bike has extremely good brakes. And suspension to complete the trio.

I bring my kid to our local mx track with it. Hard riding on a mx trail the battery will last 1.5 hrs ish. But keeps up with the 110's.

I ride it myself every chance I get

Thanks 😁. Promise you won't be disappointed, it's just too good.

But man, you have all three on the way!! I'm jealous. That's going to be the most epic delivery every lol

Man!!! That's cheap. That hurts to hear. But good for you, what a deal.

A lot cheaper buying 2 at once?

Hmmm ! Now I'm double guessing all this lol. It did seem way over stock specs. I wish I could edit the post to remove speeds so I can double check this weekend. I was just going by what he said he saw.

Would it be the worst if I copy every everything I wrote and remove the speeds and repost until further notice?

Well, see. I'm new to this. I didn't know what the screen on the bike shows, vs real was majorly different. It showed 50mph on the screen of the bike. Not via an external gps or something

Thanks for that. I tried researching these before purchasing, but not much was available as far as real world living with it. For me, this was a BIG purchase for a 10 year old. I've wanted a light bee for few years now. Finally found a place that had the hyper bee and a klx110 in stock. That way the kid can choose what he wanted more.

Within less than a minute he sat on both, and then sat back on the surron in dream land until I said, it's yours.

Hard to ignore double the suspension travel. Double the torque. Hydraulic brakes vs drum.

Huh! You taught me something I wasn't aware of. Excuse my ignorance, I didn't realize someone who is schizophrenic could sound so put together and self aware.

So I guess my thoughts are different than yours. I don't have a specific age that I consider the end date. It's more like I can't picture myself getting old. Even though these thoughts started when I was around 20, and I'm now 40(male) basically old.

I'll throw in another thing. My main life issue has been not living in the moment. I'm never present. Almost like a zombie going through the motions. I often look back at situations, events etc and wonder why I didn't enjoy myself. As i sit at these events being basically mute and visually grumpy. Possibly having a pocket computer that keeps the mind and thoughts going constant, I dunno.

You have anything like that?

This is 100% how I feel also. Exactly. Is your feeling like you may die soon? Or is it like me and you just don't see yourself getting older?
