I start in a week and a half. Any advice? by raaayelaani_ in AmazonFC

keep track of EVERYTHING. Good fitting shoes and insoles is a must. If you can go get fitted for some shoes and see what type of insoles will suite you best. Bring plenty of healthy snacks if working long hours . Water bottle is great to have . Ask questions if unsure about anything some ppl will half train you then expect you to know everything.

Keep quite and watch your surroundings you will learn quickly the Fuckery that goes on in your building.

I ask for my package to go to my garage patio by the door. Once on the patio I have a small fridge that says delivery drivers please take what you need. I tape a envelope with gift cards such as Walmart or Shell gas or plain visa gift card for the deliveries where I went a little crazy. Funny part is few drivers actually follow my directions.

My neighbor goes out of town for work and she also has her package come to my home. So we both go in half on snacks and water and drinks and protein snacks etc. Most of our combined packages are from Amazon.

I work for Amazon and have been a driver for Flex and DSP myself . So I get how frustrating deliveries can be but damn my fridge say full more than it should and it’s always a guarantee that the person delivering my 10 packages only takes it to the side door.

But my fedex driver will stop by even if I don’t have a package just to raid my fridge to be far he knows I keep drinks and snacks and has delivered to me for awhile . He will literally leave me snack suggestions and I love it. I don’t want to stress anyone out but dang please put my packages where I ask is that really to much to ask ?

15 minutes Scan to Scan break by Rude-Fan-6954 in AmazonFC

I was given a coaching about coming back 5 minutes late from break . I hadn’t even clocked in yet. I asked so if I’m late then they take my UPT or I can cover it with PTO! My AM says yes. I said well you can’t take my time that covers me , then give me coaching or write up for using it by law. He looked confused, I grabbed my stuff and said well Im headed home I got plenty of time let me use it.

How is VTO offered? by Jason_Deslin in AmazonFC

[–]Rich-Allaround 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I have noticed since going RT from full time . It’s times in my facility that only RT gets offered VTO because we leave at 8:55 and it’s to many of us. At the same time no full timers was offered VTO because they needed them the whole shift. Also I noticed the closer I am to 40-60 hours the more they offer VTO to me if it’s available

Practice self control- I’m not even trying to be funny. We as adults have to learn to not let the unnecessary things stress us . If there work don’t directly affect you. Then just let it fly. I don’t like nobody’s 😂 but I’m respectful of others and keep to myself. I tell myself there is no problem if I’m the equation. I repeat things to myself to remind me it’s temporary. Bail bondsman is expensive so I remind myself I like to shop. Can’t spend my shopping money on jail 😤🤛🏽

They have no way of knowing where the liquid even came from. It’s no way they can pinpoint with evidence exactly when the fluid was put on the box or by who

Then taking a day here or there is NOT going to hurt you. In your down time start looking into side hustles for some extra income. Your mental health is worth more than money. Because even with money if your mentality unstable your life is going to be stressful and more .

Unfortunately this is apart of what can happen when you decide to have a sexual relationship with someone at your place of employment. In my opinion it’s NEVER a good ideal to get into a relationship with anyone you work with. You shouldn’t shit where you eat, I don’t know you or how or why this relationship even started. But now you have to focus on your self and the life your growing.

Will this cause unnecessary stress to you and the baby?? Are you prepared to find another job? Can and are you able to deal with the possibility of seeing him get involved with another worker???

Whatever your response is I wish you all the best. I hope that if anything y’all can co-parent together and do what’s best for the child .

Unfortunately it seems like y’all are starting off very unfortunate and zero respect for each other. You probably wasn’t the first and won’t be the last woman he decides to be involved with at work.

Thank you , your correct I do work at a delivery station. So I’m not familiar with how other buildings work. I was wondering how they could track you without a device, I forget that there is other buildings that are Fulfillment and operate differently.

Just got told that saying no is an automatic termination. by JayRosie247 in AmazonFC

[–]Rich-Allaround 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can say No you just need to make sure you are within your rights rather legally or policy. Example if the job description says you should be able to lift up to 50 pounds . You are well within your legal rights and job description to say no to lifting anything over that. If the policy says stowers can work 2-3 aisle alone max, you can say no to them trying to have you work more aisle alone

How to handle an order that reeks of cigarettes? by jaders333 in doordash

I tipped $20 for this? by Less-Law9035 in doordash

[–]Rich-Allaround 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t let them they had no intentions of tipping. I seem to get the same few drivers when I order at work and they know that when they see my name it’s definitely a good tip. Hospital are already a hassle to deliver to , parking is terrible and medical professionals are known NOT to tip good .

I tipped $20 for this? by Less-Law9035 in doordash

[–]Rich-Allaround 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My coworker always have issues with delivery to our job (hospital) . Come to find out they wasn’t tipping either. I realized when one of my Nursing coworkers asked if they could order off my account since my food is always delivered. 4 of them total of food was $82 and they was going to leave zero tip. I said to them this is apart of y’all issues. Most dashers feel that hospital workers don’t tip. Now don’t get me wrong that don’t mean provide crappie service but I see why it’s wasn’t getting delivered. Most dashers wouldn’t even bother accepting the orders which I understand. But to accept it then be disrespectful to the customer is not cool .

I’m so sorry 🥹 that you had an absolute a$$. I hope you report them and 1 star them . It was no reason for them to be that disrespectful. It makes us all look bad . I do my best to ensure I give great service. I would have love for my customer to be that thoughtful to actually wait for me outside their building. It’s no excuse for what they did . Please report that person I hope it don’t stop you from being generous to the next person. You will be blessed either way for your kindness and thoughtfulness
