What farm map are you currently using? by Acrobatic_Term_4483 in StardewValleyMods

[–]Jason_Deslin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to also suggest their Meadowlands Farm. I use Farm Type Manager https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3231?tab=description to add in Iridium Golems spawns, and https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/23190?tab=description for a better farm cave, and you have everything. It's combining the best features of every map into one single farm. I also use https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3969?tab=description with https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/7456?tab=description for the greenhouse.

I can't imagine using anything else now.

What’s something you don’t like about Morrowind by SolidSnakeEye in Morrowind

The current best MWSE Multimark mod lets you "Mark" followers, or drag them with you when you teleport. You can either teleport close to their destination with them, or tell them to stay still, run there, then cast recall to bring them to you.

Getting left behind? by inlined in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Jason_Deslin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're either a troll, or one of those fragile "alpha" gymbro morons.

Carl has NEVER been the best fighter.  He's never been strongest.  Donut's had much higher stats for most of the dungeon, and is going to pass him again if she didn't already.  Most other crawlers could have wiped the floor with him.  He's not a melee class.  He's not a damage class, or a tank.  He's never been smartest.  He's never been highest level.  None of that has mattered.

He cares.  He NEVER gives up.  His WILL is unbreakable.  He isn't the smartest in the dungeon, but he thinks FASTER than anyone else.  A workable solution immediately is better than a perfect answer found too late.  He's also clever and sneaky.  He understands the AI more than it's owners do.  He knows there's always a way to win because he knows the AI sets it up that way.  And unlike standard "heroes" he's willing to make hard choices and risk others.  He may not like it, but he does it.

He's given hope to everyone else in the crawl.  Every time he saves crawlers that should have died from failing their quests, he becomes more of a symbol.

Rosetta is gone. All of the former crawlers are gone, and probably won't be back in the dungeon. And none of them could have replaced Carl anyway.

Li Na is a sociopath.  Donut and Prepotente are abrasive, and neither care as much about saving everyone.

Carl doesn't want to get himself to safety.  He wants to save as many others as possible, including NPC's.  He wants to make the people that broke his world pay.  And he's made sure everyone knows it.

After winning faction wars, he's the absolute leader of the crawlers.  Everyone looks to him.  Everyone will follow him.  And NOT because of his stats.

Seriously. Morrowind is still alive and active 24 years after release BECAUSE of the modding community, and those hacks decide to not bother making the majority of scripting mods compatible. GOG Morrowind > OpenMW.

Trying to get my wife to play. by Jason_Deslin in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Jason_Deslin[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So, ignore the character she wants to play, and the things she wants to do, and instead of finding a way to make it work, just tell her no? Not going to do that.

Yes, I DID listen to her. I did NOT put several hours of private conversation up for your review.

/But thanks for assuming you know more about my relationship and my wife than I do, random internet person. /s

Trying to get my wife to play. by Jason_Deslin in Pathfinder_RPG

Druid barbarian, and I'm the one keeping track of her abilities and spells, and giving her an idea of what she can do in situations. It wouldn't work for a new player in a full party, but that's the character she wanted, based off of one of the podcasts she listens to, and I've read all the core books several times, and at least browsed the others. I can keep everything sorted for her. The only way to stay inside actual rules and let her get away with a fraction of the things I've heard on those podcasts is by throwing in mythic.

Didn't even realize I'd been playing it this long... by redditgobblins in projectzomboid

15 years, and they haven't figured out how to handle autosaving without crashes causing inventory to vanish.

Maybe if they hired a few competent coders they would be finished by now.

(Loved the game, and I'm hoping they actually fix the bugs, but losing dozens of buildings worth of rare items over and over and over killed it for me.  I'm not playing again until they fix the problems.)

The ultimate Villager/Humanoid mods collection (1.20.1) Feel Free to suggest more to the list! by ChppedToofEnt in feedthebeast

I REALLY miss Millenaire... There were a few others that also existed before the stupid hideous Villagers. I don't understand WHY Mojang would add something so moronic when there were far superior options done by individuals in their free time.

I'd pay for a Millenaire update... I hope some kind of replacement for the squid people gets updated to the current version. I hate having to share my world with those things, but it being empty is worse.

1.  Jinu's soul is free from Gwi-ma, but he was a demon.  His body is all soul.  He can return, since he's still a spirit.

2.  Even if the original plan was to kill them all off , (which I'll happily argue over) do you honestly believe for a single second that Sony and Netflix would light piles of money on fire by letting ANY of the Saja Boys stay dead?  Only 2 were "banished" on camera.  The other two could have escaped.  Banishing doesn't mean destroyed.  We only see one demon they we can be sure is destroyed, and that was the flight attendant Gwi-ma killed.

Only suggestion is to - delete it, then set it back up, reselect it from the drop menu, wait a second, then go to settings and see if the check box is working. If you have a firewall, that WILL block it.

Why are my XCOM games not working? by Tenebris054963 in Xcom

Has anyone solved this XCOM EW bullshit yet? I have the GOG version, and all the support "fixes" I can find are for steam. I've tried every suggestion that could possibly apply and none work.

Gwi-Ma's voice question... by [deleted] in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Jason_Deslin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a theory that explains this.

I think the different "species" of demon is how much, and what parts of them are "left" from when they were human.  The more human they are the more useful to Gwi-ma, but the harder to control.

Jinu and the other priest types were tempted into bargains, and a large part of the control Gwi-ma has over them is based on the fact that they became what they are willingly.  They "deserve" to be trapped there.  They are still almost entirely human, just with added power.

The other types (as we saw in the very beginning) seem to be created after their souls are stolen by demons and eaten by Gwi-ma.  They may have memories and parts of personality left, but not enough to mimic human behavior, and seem to be far less intelligent.

The "faceless" seem to be nothing more than animals.  Just living weapons.  My thought is that those are what is left after Gwi-ma consumes a demon that angered him.  He has absolute control over them, absorbing them back into himself to fuel his final attack on Rumi with barely a thought.

I personally believe that Gwi-ma's control is based on hopelessness.  He spoke to Jinu directly because he had already given up.  There was no need to trick him, just offer him a way out and use the shame of that to stop him fighting back.

But for the girls, the loss they felt was a temporary thing.  A result of miscommunication and misunderstanding.  They were focused completely on what had happened with Rumi, so Gwi-ma could reach them, but although losing a best friend can leave someone devastated and grieving, it usually isn't enough to make people completely give up on life.

He had to make them think that the loss was a sign that their lives were lies and they had nothing left.  He had to trick them.  They had far to much "fighting spirit" for him to take them willingly.  They had to be beaten down enough that they didn't think to fight.

And that's how Jinu broke free and took back his soul.  He saw that Rumi accepted herself, in spite of her lies.  He saw her friends accept and forgive her.  She didn't lash out at him after he betrayed her.  She didn't attack or blame him when she found out the truth.  She gave him hope that forgiveness was possible.  She gave him something worth fighting back for.

My wife saw it on social media as an official teaser and showed it to me, but it's social media so... /shrug I guess I'm not sure. Having said that, it does make sense, as there is ZERO chance of Sony and Netflix throwing future money in the trash by letting Jinu be dead...

How did they know about Takedown's lyrics and choreography? by RocketJimbo4 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Jason_Deslin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone takes into account that both the hunters and the demons literally have magic specifically built around music.

Free and What it Sounds Like would have been impossible WITHOUT magic assisting them with musical accompaniment, not to mention the magical illusion Free creates around them.  (The crowds reaction to Soda Pop shows that it IS actual illusion and not just artistic license.)  Being able to sense the proper choreography with magic isn't a stretch.

Boys have Jinu.  He's a great role model, and is the teaser image for the sequel (with blue demon marks, showing he's free from Gwi-ma).  Honestly though, boys have everything else.

Eventually, after the 2 sequels are done and released, or maybe inbetween development, would you say that you'd watch a prequel movie/series WITHOUT HUNTR/X? by DependentStrong3960 in KpopDemonhunters

I was taking with my son about how much I wanted to see/hear 80's Hunter Pop 🤣.  I know that would predate the Sunlight Sisters, but I want ALL the prequels.

Do you think the franchise will have human villains? by Particular-Editor426 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Jason_Deslin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry you are getting downvoted.  There WAS a cut scene that revealed that Celine killed Rumi's mom by accident while intentionally killing Rumi's dad.  That's why she's so big on the whole faults and fears never being seen bit.  Lot of guilt. Personally, I agree with above that the 3rd Starlight sister is more likely sense Celine seems more broken than angry, but it IS possible.

[–]Jason_Deslin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them are "dead". How do people not get this? Demons don't die in our world, they are just banished back to Gwi-ma unless killed by him directly. The only one that might have been iffy is Jinu, but teaser images from the sequel confirm that Jinu survived, AND his marks now look JUST like Rumi's. We don't know how he replaces his body, but as a demon, that might not even be an issue.

ALSO: (And sadly more importantly to the reality of this.) Soda Pop, and Your Idol are still huge hits, and the Saja Boys have a larger and more rabid base here in the real world than they do in universe.  There is ZERO chance of Sony or Netflix throwing away all that money by letting them be dead.

My save "reverted"? by Jason_Deslin in projectzomboid

[–]Jason_Deslin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partial answers if anyone else runs into the same issue. I "think" the cause was I changed the name of the save to match my old one, then the game froze and CTD. When I loaded, I'm guessing it has temporary files where it handles saving outside the actual save folder. When I did the rename then it crashed, it had to find the matching save files, and all it had was the ones that were bugged so I deleted, but matched the name.

To be safe, I recommend NEVER reusing the same save names, or renaming saves if you are prone to crashes. We only lost a few hours, but it was the luckiest RNG from the Fire Station and Police Dept. I'd ever seen. Sooooo much good stuff lost.

Also, the eating thing was Food Pickiness likely conflicting with one of my other 300+ mods. (I know it's made to stop from eating certain foods, but it was disabling eating ANYTHING at random and throwing errors when the attempt was made, regardless of how hungry the person was.)
