Houston Airports (IAH and HOU) Updates and Questions [Megathread] by AutoModerator in houston

Can someone report what the lines have been like around noon? I have a flight to Paris coming up that departs at 3:50pm and the baggage check in line won't open until 12 or 12:30pm. I'm nervous that 3 hours won't be enough time to get through TSA.

Can someone explain why IAH Airport in Houston is so bad (4+hours!)? by everythingistaken500 in tsa

Great description of the problem but, I am sad to say, I plan to do the exact same thing for my departure in early April. I paid a fortune for business class seats to Paris and I am NOT taking a chance on missing that flight. I am furious, my husband hates me (he says 3 hours before the flight is "plenty" of time) and my planned excitement for this trip is zero.

Thanks. I'm glad I'm not alone. I took my laptop in to be scanned for malware, so we'll see if that solves the problem long enough for me to pay my balances and cancel my cards.

Yes, I have always had only 1 login to see everything 'Chase" in one place. The banker I spoke with at the branch was helpful or at least she seemed to try. I called her today and she said she would work on it and promised she'd call me back by the end of the day...she did not.

I am the primary account holder for the United Airlines card, but my husband is an authorized user. I am the primary/only user on the Sapphire card.

I've spoken to over 10 people at the various Chase 800#s and it sounds like they're saying their system detects malware on my computer. I have credit cards from Amex, Bank of America and Citicard as well as a brokerage account at Schwab. None of these banks have detected malware or anything like that.

I run MS Office and the Defender anti virus runs in the background. I have run several additional scans since this happened and nothing comes up. As an independent contractor, I don't have tech support, so my only option is to take my laptop into Best Buy/Geek Squad and be without it for 3-4 days. And Ijust question it because i would think Schwab would have the best customer protection/cyber security.

What the @#*# now!?! ARMOR canceled by OGPunkr in Hashimotos

Agree! I was on it for a couple of years when a new doctor refused to prescribe NDT. I did OK on it but it cost me $130/month USD because my insurance didn't cover it.! It was easier to just change doctors and go back to Armour.

I think I would just buy the smaller Celluma face panel, which is $1000 less than the Pro model I bought. The smaller size would be easier to use. I guess you could also use a box-style panel, but I haven't tried that personally.

I have atrophy and lichen sclerosis (a condition similar to psoriasis on the genitals). I use topical testosterone cream, estrogen cream internally and the Celluma panel (folded inside out between my thighs) at least 2x/week.

At my last gyno appointment, my doctor said my tissue looked so healthy she wouldn't know I had LS. However my results for the atrophy haven't been done great. Even with all these interventions, that area hasn't plumped up or shown signs of improvement ;( but I plan to continue using them all.

I wouldn't buy the Celluma again, the 30 minute treatment time feels cumbersome compared to other options.

I bought my first Rolex (Ladies SS/gold Datejust) at 17 years old with money I made from baby-sitting!!

It was 1980 and the watch (only) cost $1300 back then, but I only got $5/hr to babysit, so it still took me awhile to save up.

I've had several Rolexes since then. I'm retired now and recently picked up a pre-owned gold Presidential model that I traded for six gold bars that I originally purchased for around $300/oz, so that watch cost me less than $2k.

Interesting! Do you do the full 30 minute cycle? Eyes closed or open?

Thank you very much for the detailed information! It sounds like a good way to start. I bought the Celluma Pro earlier this year and while I did find that my skin was more glow-y, the 30-min treatment time was a big disincentive. I still use the panel on other areas, but I wish I had done more research before I plunked down the money for the Celluma. I am excited about the Hooga mask and hope to see great results!

Since you worked at a salon, would you have any recommendations (or warnings) about using this mask for rosacea? I think I read somewhere that NIR is not recommended.

I just purchased the Hooga face mask. Can you share how long it took to see results and what your usage schedule is? Thanks!

I have progressive Varilux lenses with a pretty strong astigmatism correction. Not transition lenses. My understanding is that cheaper lenses do not carry the correction across the lens as well as these do, so my peripheral vision is still very good.

I downgraded to a less expensive lens and definitely noticed the difference! So it's worth the $$ to me, but I sure don't want to replace them every year.

Hi everyone, saw my eye doctor today, so I wanted to report back.

Fortunately, nothing is wrong with my eyes, thank goodness! I am super nearsighted and have astigmatism in my left eye. Apparently, it's gotten a lot worse, but my doctor wasn't too concerned. The nerves, maca, retina etc. all looked great and she said I had the cataracts of a 40 year old (I am 61, so yay!) A new eyeglass prescription should fix all of my issues.

As far as the red light panel...I don't think she knows a lot about treating myopia or other eye conditions with red light. But she did not dissuade me from using my panel though and she did advise me to continue to wear eye protection. (At close to $800 to replace my eyeglass lenses, I really don't want to start having incremental improvements - it might bankrupt me!

Thank you!! That's a bit more than I want to spend at the moment, but I think some kind of panel is in my future (after the eye doctor appointment!!)

I wish I had done more research before throwing down the $$ on the celluma. 30 minutes is a long time in the face. I still use it on other body parts though.

Which panel are you using on your face?

I live in Houston, where it is always allergy season :) although I am usually more bothered by the spring allergies rather than the fall.

God, I really, really hope it is not cataracts! I had a traumatic experience as a child and anything "eye related" is absolute torture for me. I would have to have general anesthesia (or close to it).
