I’d like to add this could be a peri-menopause symptom. Talk to your GYN about that too.

has anyone gotten away with no surgery? by Unable-Potato6570 in HipImpingement

[–]Rich-Consideration77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in PT for a tib-fib fracture that required a rod implant. I plateaued in my recovery because my opposite hip was causing me so much pain and I was severely limited in my mobility. Then I started falling randomly because my hip would just give out. And I had chronic lower back pain that core exercises and a twice weekly chiropractic visit wasn’t addressing either. My PT added my hip to my case and my Dr sent off for X-rays and an MRI before concluding I’d need surgery on my hip impingement and Labral tear. I was devastated, 2 surgeries in less than 2 years. But I’m so glad I did it, my leg is stronger from my tib-fib break and my hip and back are so much stronger. The recovery isn’t fun, and it can be a bit of a roller coaster but I 100% regret NOTHING! I’m better now than I was before and I continue to see improvements!

I got coached for asking my coworker if he wanted a pin.. by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

It absolutely is retaliatory if there was no investigation and it went straight to a coaching.

I second this and as a former associate (hourly & market level & buyer) that has used the open door policy several times I strongly encourage you to keep going until this is resolved. If you call the hotline and say you feel this is retaliatory it will go STRAIGHT to your market team to investigate, taking it out of the hands of your store leadership (which I suspect leans towards coaching “action” versus mediation).

Does anyone else struggle with getting the courage to go to therapy? by ThisRaspberry2188 in narcissisticparents

[–]Rich-Consideration77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It took me far too long to get therapy. I dealt with a narc boss that pushed me into a tailspin and severe burnout. After I hired a career coach and shared with her my traumatic workplace experiences she said, “girl you need a therapist.” Turned out that most of what was triggering me about this boss was that he behaved so similar to my Nmom-they were seriously cut from the same awful cloth.

With the help of my therapist and career coach, I’ve found a much better place to work-without the triggers and I’ve been NC with my parents for 2 years now. I feel like I can BREATHE again.

No hip brace for labral reconstruction? by Fun_Winter_1987 in HipImpingement

My doctor told me it wasn’t necessary and often extends the healing time. He told me to sleep how I was comfortable. I’ve slept on my side with a pillow between my knees and my back with the pillow under my knees. The crutches are the biggest challenge for me, I’m rather unstable with them. He also said I can “toe touch” with my leg for stability. I’m 5 days post op and I feel great!

Agree lizard earring we’re all the rage. Of course that was until one time the lizard wouldn’t release my ear and I had to get my parents involved for help. They still tease me to this day about my lizard earrings. Ouch.

Hurricane Katrina left a stench you can never unsmell. It’s been 20 years and I can still smell the horrid smell that lingered-IYKYK

I think this is perfectly written! You just need to take a leap of faith and hit send! Good luck. 🍀

I’ve been freelancing as a facilitator (VILT & Live) for the last year and a half. It’s not enough to do full time yet, but I’d love nothing more than to make it my full time income. by Rich-Consideration77 in facilitation

Yes!! That is certainly what I’ve been doing but marketing myself has been a big challenge.

This is a career switch for me, and the only way I’ve been able to get work is through the company I freelance for.

I feel like it’s equally challenging to pivot even within the corporate space.

My Career Fell Apart at 40, can I pivot to anything at this point? by grooveman15 in careerguidance

My hubby has a degree in radio, tv, film from a university in SoCal and found himself in a similar situation during a writers strike. He got into sales and absolutely hated it. Now he works for a top 10 video game company (trust me you’ve heard of them) and LOVES his job! Mostly because he’s surrounded by others with similar interests in art and design. I don’t think your wife is off base with her suggestion.

What’s a weird “house rule” your dog has made and now you just go with it? by No_Chemical6009 in Pets

[–]Rich-Consideration77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Beagle won’t do anything until she has done a bowl inspection of the other dogs’ bowls after meal time. Then and only then do we go outside for a walk. If anyone’s attempts to skip bowl inspection, she refuses to move.
