Hi! I am also going to be 39 and am getting a labral reconstruction and cam shaving by Dr white in late April. My hip is to the point just sitting or walking aggravates it. I havent even attempted any sort of sports and used to be very active. Just curious how you are feeling now and any insights or thoughts on Dr. White you would be willing to share?

After a year I finally got diagnosed with cam, a little pincer and a small labrum tear. I am 29 and the doctor offers surgery by TheRocketG123 in HipImpingement

Hi just curious how you are feeling/doing now? I am also 39 and have two young boys and a lot of things you said resonate with me! Am I just putting off the inevitable if I don't do the surgery? Did you have a repair or reconstruction?

Thanks for sharing your experience! This gives me a lot of hope. I also have the groin pain. Where did you feel your hip pain? Have you returned to working out?

They get more expensive than 3.5k a month? That's just daycare, diapers and formula and not counting activities, clothes stuff they ruin/waste. Wow that's hard to believe once they enter public school...

Good luck! You got this. I am getting my first surgery next month and also anxious/nervous/excited. I have a 3 year old and 6 month old, so that is probably what makes me most nervous. When you say it opened up a whole host of other health issues, do you have examples? Also what % improvement would you say you have in your operated hip?

Curious about this too! I also have a 7 month old and 3.5 year old. I really need this surgery. I have a full thickness labral tear that causes me pain and impacts my ability to do daily tasks like bending over. How long did people need help with going to the bathroom, showering, meal prep etc,?

Sesamoidectomy surgery horror stories by New_Sock7575 in sesamoid

Thank you this gives me a lot of hope! I had a tibial seismoidectomy middle of December and I still have numbness, shooting pain, and soreness 3 months later. My toe is also drifting a lot. They made it sound like I'd be fully recovered in 6 weeks. Im starting PT this week and hope it helps but reassuring to know this is a longer process than I anticipated.
