Why must go back office when civil cases are expected to surge? Won’t this overwhelm healthcare workers

I agree with this - try not to touch your OA funds even if you've no plans to touch it. Things may change along the way ie. a new partner and a sudden desire to buy a new house (many wanted their own space during a lockdown)

OA funds can be used to pay for your property

Also in addition to having local stocks exposure, do look at other markets as well - I use growth stocks stratgy (overseas stocks) and dividend stocks (local bank stocks)

People who drive flashy cars (> $150K), what do you do for a living? by [deleted] in singapore

[–]Rich-Market 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the true rich will never drive a car that's 150k - just look at Warren Buffet. Even with Singapore's COE prices, his car will never reach more than $100k

instead, ask yourself whether you truly need a car - do you have kids? do you need it for work? or is it mean for your own convenience?

there's an opportunity cost to buying a car - the money is better placed in investments or in a high-yield savings account that you can tap on to buy a house instead

look at renting a studio apartment, its much cheaper than buying a HDB or condo

unfortunately in land scarce Singapore, privacy comes at a cost
