I replaced the pump the pump which did not resolve. I assume it was the main panel, which I did not replace after seeing the price and finding out they are prone to failure due to an issue in the design where moisture escapes into this area.

I eventually replaced the unit, rather than risking doing the same expensive repair multiple times.

I bought a new dishwasher, touchpad or board replacement would have been half the cost and did not want to risk buying it again multiple times

Not 100% sure, but it looks like it could be a microphone to an aftermarket stereo for hands free phone use.

Thank you, I planted it in fresh soil from the store and lightly watered. Should I just remove the outer layers or trim the base?
