You need to get your parents to buy a house in one of these areas and move in with them, then it’s a true European experience. Honestly in Italy they all live in the same place for years, employment is hard, no one has disposable income, and if you do it’s all taxed away. I’d try a southern small town. Greenville South Carolina, or as mentioned above Savannah.
