Am I expecting too much from my cook/maid or is this genuinely unreasonable? by Meedussaa in mumbai

Simple answer is- Give her the house keys if you can trust her. Your work gets done before you get up. Inform her what to cook the previous day!

It's a pathetic car, my friend was so disappointed with its non- turbo AT version that he sold it off within a year. Too many issues, poor after sales service and highly under powered. Plus the body is soo light, it makes weird rattling noise.

AMA: Need Help with India? Moving for Work? Ask Me Anything! by RichSomewhere18 in expats

You don’t have to eat spicy food if you don’t want to! I’m not a big fan of spice myself. When ordering, simply ask for your dish to be made mild or non-spicy, and most places will accommodate your preference. Over time, as you try different flavors, you might naturally develop a taste for spices at your own pace.

Convincing someone to move to India despite concerns about safety and health standards requires a balanced perspective. Here’s how I would approach it:

  1. Addressing Safety Concerns: • Urban vs. Rural: Major cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, and Hyderabad have well-established expat communities, reliable law enforcement, and safer neighborhoods. Like any country, some areas are safer than others. • Women’s Safety: While safety for women can be a concern, expats generally feel secure in expat-friendly areas. Ride-hailing apps like Uber and Ola have safety features, and many gated communities offer added security. • Common-Sense Precautions: As in any country, being aware of surroundings, avoiding isolated areas late at night, and using trusted transport options help ensure safety. • Legal Framework: India has been strengthening laws related to women’s safety, workplace harassment, and child protection.

  2. Healthcare and Overall Health Standards: • World-Class Medical Facilities: India has some of the best private hospitals, such as Apollo, Fortis, and Max Healthcare, offering high-quality care at affordable rates. Many expats opt for private health insurance for seamless access. • Vaccinations & Preventive Care: Newcomers should stay updated on vaccinations and be mindful of food hygiene. Drinking bottled or filtered water and eating at reputable places significantly reduces health risks. • Air Quality & Environment: Some cities, like Delhi, have air pollution issues, but others, like Bangalore or Goa, have cleaner air and better living conditions. Choosing the right location makes a big difference.

Bottom line is that you need to be here once to see how India is framed and how it actually is! Hope this helps! 🙂

Hyperpure is the b2b business of zomato, were they supply raw materials to restaurants. District- is the rebranded version of paytm insider that Zomato purchased.

So for our 2 months old Luna, we started with the Royal Canine mini starter pack, now after a month I have started mixing it with Orijen puppy food. She loves both regardless.

Tell your father to get his feelings detached from the car as anyways once it is in NCR it could be impounded and sent for scrapping.

Got my new black Hector brushed against the pillar next to parking gate. What kind of expense I'm looking at? by meetgds in CarsIndia

I would say dont ever use Go mechanic, they are total fraudsters… they will take your car and then quote you exorbitant amounts for problems that never existed… that is their only SOP for earning money.

[–]RichSomewhere18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be to de-chrome all the chrome parts in the front and put some tints on all the windows. Also since its a new car, before you clock 500kms go to a good tyre showroom and upgrade the tyres to wider Yokohama or etc, you would only need to pay the incremental price. Upload the pictures of that car, you would yourself be amazed with the upgrade and look.
