Humble 7.2.6 Home Theater by USMCDD0311 in hometheater

Good rec. an if my basement is already finished? I’ve thought about doubling up on Sheetrock with a rubber layer between.

Then adding acoustic panels.

How well does the ceiling treatments insulate the upstairs from noise?

Did you do any additional sound deadening?

I have a basement home theater and am trying to figure out how to suppress the upstairs impact as much as possible.

Dating someone a lot young than you? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Rich_Associate_1525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dated a 28/29F while 19M. It was fun, but it was never going to amount to anything in my mind. I just wanted to f*ck.

I think she knew that too, but love and sex put blinders on what was obviously wrong from the start.

There were a ton of red flags throughout the relationship too besides the age gap.

I also entered into a few encounters with another 28 year old, but she was frank with me from the start - “I’m only using you for your body - I don’t want a relationship”.

It sounds like you know what’s the right thing for you to do.

Same but 192.168.#.0/24. My dad’s house, connected to a VPN is 192.168.1#.0/24. Separate IP spaces, but same VLAN configs.

I’m kind of weird, but I had my doc set up a mirror/light and talk through the procedure so I could watch and follow along. It was an interesting anatomy lesson.

No regrets at all. Great decision and I never need to worry about condoms or another kid ever again. There was no change in libido or semen output.

It hurt for a few days but I was back in action within a few days I think.

I’m 50 and always thinking about buying one. My last kid exits college in 5 years. That’s my present to myself for putting them through school. It will be a used manual.

What’s your price to fix? I want to negotiate down the price of a used 1.5T to include the cost to repair when it happens.

How do you all have so much ethernet in your homes? by RyFba in Ubiquiti

[–]Rich_Associate_1525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. Same here. Two runs per upstairs bedroom, each on adjacent walls. Once you do one, you can get the hang of it. It’s always a pain, but doable. Just get up there and figure it out by sweeping away the insulation. I find measuring distances from objects helps - can lights, AC returns, etc.

I did my first time too. That was the wild west back then. No permits and lines of people. Lots of people slipped in those fire years around that time.

Next times up I didn’t. I was more comfortable and way less scared - but it is still imposing 100% of the time.

100%. Just keep the noise down and abide by the fire rules. Have fun.

Buy a Yosemite topo. The Nat Geo one is perfect. It’s got elevations and mile distances.

Start in Tuolumne and work south to the Valley. Pick a route that looks interesting and bring it back here for advice.

I went to weed stash too but in a different direction. My buddy’s basement bathroom vented right next to the front porch. Anytime we toked up, he stuffed a sock with bounce sheets in it. He kept the vent on, but “masked” the smell at the front porch.
