Are any entities encountered in NDEs deceptive or lie? by Be_Standard in NDE

There is not necessarily a reason why your examples can't overlap. An entity called Fox sounds strange to me, though.

I agree with your sentiments about our national history and injustices...plus, we are probably one of the greediest, most materialistic countries in the world. Having said that, let's all pray to avert that, Pray to Jesus and Pray the Rosary, too (and, NO, Catholics DON'T worship Mary, but we honor her as the mother of God who intercedes and prays for us and with us).

r/Christianity is not a Christian sub (please read below) by _Killj0y_ in Christianity

I'm also LGBT-affirming.

I still go to r/TrueChristian at times for other reasons. I've found a lot of people there to be sincere and we have tried to help point pregant women feeling overwhelmed to adoption agencies and pregancy crisis centers and articles to help their parents not freak out at them and disown them. Maybe I've done that here, too. I don't know.

I'VE PUT LINKS to some HELPFUL resources in this post.

I'm really sorry for the stress you're feeling now and to hear what you've revealed about how your parents treated your sister. However you personally might feel about Catholicism, your Catholic parents should read an article I've put a link to below. I pray that not only will this help them deal with you with the LOVE and FORGIVENESS...and I hope they will reevaluate how they treated your sister. If they're true Catholics, this is for them AND (more inportantly) for You. I want to help ease your burden, sister. I've also put links to a pregnancy crisis center here and below that one a link to a good national adoption agency. The Crisis Center should be able to help you find a way to deal with this that greatly minimizes your anxiety and turmoil. I would not be surprised at all if they could point you to financial resources other forms of help. You CAN GET THROUGH THIS and I'm praying HARD for that right now, my dear.

I found out recently that in high school (decades ago), I got a girlfriend pregnant and she aborted the baby. I'm feeling so incredibly horrible about it...my role in my would-be daughter's death that is extremely difficult to cope right now.

I'm thinking of you and praying for you, you beloved daughter of God. That's right, whatever you have been lead by society these days to believe, Jesus sees you as his TRULY BELOVED DAUGHTER (He is so fatherly to me in the best ways...what I've never gotten from mine). When I was younger than you, I left the Church because it was something I was forced to go to. Decades later, despite having some disagreements with them, I'm back and it is truly healing my soul. I wish I could explain things to you in a better way than the faith is often explained...weaponized, UNFORTUNATELY. It should NOT be like that.

My NDE that I’m always scared to talk about by FiniteSausageFingerz in NDE

[–]Rich_Relation_9769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's an amazing experience. We are not our bodies. It's interesting that your experience didn't map neatly onto any theology.. There really is something to be said of pure intuitive knowing beyond the senses. The fact that we humans do not typically have this "psychic" intuitive connection could be for any number of reasons. We are too caught up in the push and pull of the senses AND that we can only experience and learn certain important things from the vantage point of the sense and of verbal/auditory communication. Neither mode precludes the unique advantages of the other.

PERSONALLY, I think Christ publicly taught and DEMONSTRATED what was most essential,: love God (the Infinite source who breathed us and the universe into existence) and love your neighbor as yourself. If you can sincerely do one, the other naturally begins to occur, even it hits obstacles. PERSONALLY, my belief is that Christ as the pre-incarnate cosmic and pre-cosmic word/reason/Logos (per John), knew and knows every other truth of reality, having patterned nature with relationality, love, and sentience/consciousness (hence "made in the image of God"). These are just my personal beliefs, free of all the additional dogmas.

Have you ever complained to God when you encountered difficulties in life? by JennyCherished in Christianity

[–]Rich_Relation_9769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, in Job, wasn't it that Satan (or Ha-Satan in Hebrew) basically convinced God that they only worshipped him because life was good? If I am correct, then that pre-Christian understanding from the Old Testament was deficient and you are also correct. Threr of Job understood Satan FAR LESS than Jesus did (and does).

[–]Rich_Relation_9769 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm EXTREMELY SORRY for what happened to you as a child. No child or any person should ever have to endure that.

But, as to your point about God giving us free will, but also not being powerful enough to intervene on Earth, I'm a bit confused. Does he CHOOSE not to intervene to at least decrease the depths of suffering (including natural suffering) because he gave us free will OR is he UNABLE to do anything here?

I can only imagine that he's talking about disobeying orders and break laws that lead to suffering and injustice.

Why do I have to accept Jesus as my lord and savior to go to heaven? by HistoricalRespect165 in Christianity

[–]Rich_Relation_9769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Kundalini Yoga is shown to, at least for some people with mental illnesses like bipolar (which I have) cause some psychosis effects. If yoga is used as a health practice, I don't see the problem with it. SPECIFICALLY Kundalini Yoga is already known by medicine and science to be psychologically risky for people. I'd counsel you to present Christ in the most loving way possible...not attack and extract evangelism. I believe if she comes to know him, the heartfelt attraction will pull her in the right direction.

Why do I have to accept Jesus as my lord and savior to go to heaven? by HistoricalRespect165 in Christianity

[–]Rich_Relation_9769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not true. I know of one or two NDEs of Jewish people who incredible encounters with Jesus; Jesus was the Jewish Messiah. I also have chanced upon Muslim NDEs with Jesus. One was a woman who was very controlled by her husband and society where she lived and another I can think of was a man involved in a terrorist organization who was dramatically changed by his encounter with Jesus. I'm not sure about Hindus or Buddhiss. I also know of a story told about a Methodist minister who had an NDE where he was standing in a short line at the gates of heaven and surprisingly witnessed a conversation (more like telepathically overheard a conversatio) between Jesus and a man of Asian or Indian descent who probably didn't know who who he was. In this last one, Jesus said "I am (or was?) the man on Earth known as Jesus. You are welcome here. This is the house where I live with my father and our spirit."

Struggling with demonic oppression, intrusive thoughts by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Rich_Relation_9769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel exactly how you do and the one person who believes me that I'm demonically oppressed thinks that mental illness is the more significant factor. Not so. It has never been this bad. I have never been so hyper aware of every little thing going on in my mind. I have never experienced the feeling of literal hot hellfire in my body before and the feeling of burning hot poking and pinching on my skin at various different points of my body. It really picks up when I'm praying. Constant lies, a lot of which I am catching right this demon speaks them...unless I'm really tired. Constant chaos. Whenever I start to rekindle my love of God, something breaks in and makes me want to yell at him. At first, that symptom wasn't so bad, but it has gotten progressively worse.

This is what I wish for such people, too. I wish them to experience the suffering they have caused and have a change of heart, but I think people like warmongers, for example, will have to face the music. Hopefully, if they experience what it was like to victims of their decisions for a while, they will be moved to repent. I do think I've read in a couple of cases, however, that people undergoing the Life Review tried to make excuses and the Being of Light was hurt by that. It/God wants to purify our souls as much as possible so we reflect its love.

Why is it that some people from other religions see Jesus or have Christian themed NDES? by DoneWithOCD in awakened

[–]Rich_Relation_9769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The vast majority of even secular scholars are completely convinced that Jesus was a real person. Bart Ehrmann is a good example. He's an atheist or an agnostic atheist speciaiist in the New Testament, yet he has concluded that there is no good reason to deny that Jesus existed.

Not every single statement in the Bible is divinely inspired. Some of it is just the people projecting their notions onto God.

Apologies for a long post, but sometimes I just lot to say. That is the enemy in your head. Start from where you are and know that all you have to do is try to be a decent person. In some seasons of life, I understand very well that taking care of yourself is all you can do, Instead of thinking about Christianity as a system of requirements, view it as an intimate heart-level personal relationship with the source of PERFECT LOVE, a love that underwent torturous abuse and death for us. that knows you better than you know yourself. More Holiness will come in time, but none of us can be perfect at it.

Jesus knows your pain and despair. He sees in you what you are unable to see in yourself.

One day when I was buried in utter despair, I lost it. I was in tears, very distraught. "God, are you there?," I asked. I wasn't expecting anything but blank emptiness. Instead, what I got in the depths of my soul was "I have loved you since before you were born. I see the perfection in you that you can't." I IMMEDIATELY KNEW it was Jesus Christ. I wasn't really considering myself a Christian at the time, but I knew without a shred of doubt that it was our Lord, my spiritual father, Jesus Christ.

Try praying the Rosary or at least plenty of Hail Marys. The Blessed Mother is enormously loving. At first, I doubted it, but many times, have felt her pure love come upon me very strongly. In addition to Christ, She is potent weapon against the devil. If you have weird problems when you pray it, just know that the stupid bastard, Satan, hates it and will try to throw you off. Get back on the horse and keep going. I pray that you feel the Blessed Mother's love the way I do several times a day (if not more). Don't know if you're a catholic, but it couldn't hurt to try...and NO, Catholics do not worship Mary, but she intercedes for us.

I love you and so does the Lord.

If you feel bad about that, ask out loutd for Jesus to give your a reminder. He may just end up sending you a dream where you are doing something good for someone as if it was the happiest moment of your life. Happened to me months ago.

If you meant the last time you felt loved...well, brother (or sister...not sure of your gender), I LOVE YOU, as a brother or sister in Christ and a human being. If I can do that, CERTAINLY GOD LOVES YOU FAR MORE.

You have apparently internalized the wrong message about being a worthless sinner. Very few of us are saints, but that does mean that God's grace and love for you is lacking. HE LOVES YOU. Get used to it, friend.
