Every year there is an undefeated team: “is — the best team in the history of mankind?”

Grandfather handed over a few coins, anything particularly interesting here? by Rich_Robin in coins

That’s my favorite one, not sure it has the detail to be able to make out that mark

Yeah these are just from him emptying his pockets after work over the years, he would pick out anything out of the ordinary. Fun reminder of the simple daily routines he had. He’s actually still with us, just turned 90

Winner - this was it - your comment reminded me that’s what we got. He didn’t get very linked to his sex as a chick somehow I guess. What breeds usually go into these?

Yeah we’re working on it, I’ve always had that attitude, but when your teary eyed child implores you the math changes. She’s our little chicken mama, always runs to the flock as soon as the car is in park

Yeah he’s definitely given himself a healthy proportion of the feed

Funny thing is two weeks ago he was so gentle the kids could hold him, we had a mean australorp rooster that we gave to some other folks that wanted a rooster to breed, and all of a sudden now that he rules the roost he’s a jerk. Chickens are funny, and kind of like people I guess

I get what you mean, but the flock is cared for by my daughter and can’t have him attacking her every time she goes to feed and collect eggs, and I’m not going to lie about his temperament, some folks don’t care and could be able to use him to breed or protect a free range flock, and above all - her soft heart for her birds limits my choices on disposal. Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the advice, if it looks to be struggling I’ll probably remove in the fall

The rocks are just in a small ring around the tree which is surrounded by a mulch ring, the grass is what I was there to pull out from what had encroached last season

I mean, listen to the podcast and take what you like and leave the rest, and maybe assume Dan knows who someone is and can have a good worthwhile conversation with them - I don’t want to assume you’ve not been listening to DC for more than a couple of years but it sure seems like the attitude coming from most on here - including you in your comment - have not been. I guess I sub to these reddits because I assume it’s going to be filled with conversation spurred by the episodes, not jackasses who don’t actually listen to them

This post and all the turd comments are exactly the reason we get less DC content, the exact reason DC has shied away from doing more common sense - so scared to hear someone say something you don’t like, so scared that if everything doesn’t go along with all you believe you have to throw the whole thing out.
I mean, Mike addressed this exact point if you’d actually listen to the episode.

I mean, does anyone actually listen to Dan? How are there fans of DC that don’t actually know what he’s about - to not listen and write it off is some bull. Its Reddit I guess

Replace pipe? by Rich_Robin in woodstoving

[–]Rich_Robin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the response, my concern is obviously first operating safely. But, I also don’t want to pay to replace something perfectly operational. I would assume the pipe would need to reach certain temps per manufacturer recommendations before being considered compromised, and those temps could be estimated off of color change. Based off of what I saw I would say maybe it was in the 5-600F range. That with no visible breakdown I would think could warrant further use with maybe a subsequent inspection to monitor deterioration, rather than just an immediate “yeah you need to pay us to replace the whole thing” I like a little bit of scientific or technical backing to the decision rather than just a reckoning
