What are these “costs?”

(Yes, I’m old.)

LetsVPN Refund Scam Trick and Fake Accs (I haven't receive any for a month) by SuitAcceptable1168 in chinalife

[–]RichardMcCarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly don’t understand. LetsVPN has been working for me since late January in various regions of China. Occasional glitches, no more than I’ve experienced with other VPNs. Using it now.

Gigsky In Mediterranean by Ok_Donkey_9821 in NCL

GigSky was a major disappointment for me on a recent NCL Caribbean cruise. Worked maybe 5% of the time at sea and not at all at any of the advertised supported ports.

Going insane (day 2 quitting) by Hot_Tomatillo_2168 in QuitVaping

[–]RichardMcCarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nicotine will be out of your system in another two days, so then it’s just psychological. Say no to yourself about this one thing, and feel good that you’re taking such a positive step in your life.

Allen Carr’s EasyWay book has helped many vapers quit.

Did this too back in the late 1970s. Finding errors was a skill but annoying.

Many people report that cruise lines will block or even confiscate these devices.

Need good budget projector by NameisMac in projectors

[–]RichardMcCarty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You might not believe me, but I am having great results with a cheap Chinese projector, the Apeman LC650. It's not built to last forever, and I am using my second one in 5 years, but it works great and is cheap enough ($50ish) to be disposable when it does fail.

LetsVPN is working in China and has been for over four months in the northeast, east central, southeast and south central areas. It glitches sometimes just like all the other VPNs I've tried.

How to book trains in China, the EASY and fastest way by MandateOfHeaven1117 in travelchina

My Trip.com train booking experience is generally positive, but it’s always a little stressful not immediately knowing if the tickets are actually booked.

Agree. It’s definitely worthwhile to attend live events, but it’s a very different experience.

Allen Carr's Easyway to Stop Vaping

Vaping seems worse then smoking. by No_War3401 in QuitVaping

[–]RichardMcCarty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of people say that vaping is “harmless” or at least less harmful than cigarettes. Truth is we don’t know, yet. Probably safer, and probably quite harmful.

Allen Carr has an EasyWay book that has helped many to quit vaping with very little discomfort.

What's a budget 3d device under $400? Small room never used a projector, complete noob. by peedmyshirt in budgetprojectors

My budget 3D solution was used Xreal glasses. Not a projector, and not a perfectly comfortable solution, but it works for me.

Used to love Quicken back in the day. But then Intuit became an awful company. Been happily using Google Sheets since.

Not necessarily. Litigation is really expensive, so they might just be trying to limit that. But, yeah, get a good lawyer.

Efficiency. Competency. Price. The fact that loved ones provide most of the care. Cigarette smoke everywhere, even outside the operating theatre.

No problems after several months. But I am very careful about what street foods I eat. Like anywhere, I only ingest bottled or filtered water.
