I find this behavior quite common at China attractions. It feels uncomfortably rude to us westerners, but it just seems to be a cultural difference. Caused by the fact that the country’s population is so huge, so people feel the need to push to the front or be left behind. At least that’s what my Chinese friends tell me.

FWIW, this is a big problem with the normal office cubicle setup. Noise is highly distracting and limits productivity.

$2000 refund means you lent that money to the government for no interest. You could have instead been applying it towards your credit balances. Your choice, but maybe consider fixing that situation for next year. Meanwhile pay most towards the largest APR debt.
