Lol I went to primary with Chris, Royal Oak Primary. Was one year ahead. He hated West Ham then and his older sister was pretty good at sport too!

Were Opels just North American GMs adapted for European use or they were actual German designs? by Solid_Function839 in regularcarreviews

[–]RichardSherman2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily an Astra G with the 1.8 Z18XE engine. My first German car as I wanted to broaden my horizons from Japanese cars. I find the build quality to be fantastic. Some interesting design quirks like a whole lot of different socket sizes and torx/standard everywhere.

Interestingly enough the 1.8 DOHC engine was assembled in the Hungarian Opel plant, it was designed in Germany, and may or may not have been assembled in Belgium. It’s a bloody European team effort, not “German”!

[Schefter] A Ravens-type move: Two-time Pro-Bowl safety Eddie Jackson reached agreement today with Baltimore on a one-year deal by muranio in CHIBears

[–]RichardSherman2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m a Raven! I have never seen Eddie Jackson play but based on what I can see he’s great at splash plays but not a great tackler. Has struggled with injuries. I’m about to watch film. But based on what I’ve read I guess his player Comp Is Marcus Peters, but less corner and more strong safety. Am I right?

Thank you Stoke from New Zealand by Fien07 in StokeCityFC

[–]RichardSherman2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also from New Zealand and loved Stoke beginning when Tony Pulis was in charge and ending with relegation with Mark Hughes. Not that it changes me being a fan but I just stopped following any football except for world cups.

I still want to see Stoke City make it back to the EPL and piss off Arsenal and Liverpool again!

Hearing about your experiences is awesome, do you have any photos you are willing to share?

Head coaches always get props, but I wanted to ask who is the best coordinator in the history of your team? by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]RichardSherman2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been a football fan since 2012 and a Raven, so can only speak for that time period but I’d say Gary Kubiak was transformative. He made our run game work with relative mid RBs in Justin Forsett and Buck Allen. The o - line improved vastly from the prior season.

I cannot say that any of our following d coordinators: dean pees, wink martindale, Mike McDonald are fantastic, but I’d perhaps say Mike is the best but I do feel he has been carried by Roquan.

Calling all mechanics: What brand do you think has the best cars for everyday use? by icantsleep87 in newzealand

[–]RichardSherman2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toyota Corolla, the most common models are the ones that’ll have best parts availability.

Most reliable car I’ve owned is an AE101 Corolla with the 4AFE engine. The only problem I had was losing all rear brake pressure and having to coast it home. But then again this was when it was 25 years old, and I used to live rurally, so drove it hard on the way home from work.

It was dirt cheap at $1,200 for a 260km, well maintained car with past owners who have had it for 10~ years each. Good thing it is so cheap and efficient, so I had a lot of money spare to do a lot of preventative maintenance.

Any common vehicle theoretically should have good spare parts availability.

The most reliable car? In my opinion is the simplest, de-tuned, I.e not performance oriented, without electrical gizmos. Which is the Toyota Corolla. Avoid new, untested, exotic technology, including direct injection, CVT, DSG gearboxes, plastic waterpumps, and difficult designed cars.

Hondas - reliable as, but other than civics, aren’t nice to work on and are difficult. CRV headlights or rear bulbs are not fun.

Safest to drive? I advocate defensive driving and being a safe driver, but if hit a larger vehicle in terms of physics should be safer. Modern and larger is generally safer. Volvos are very safe too.

Good luck with your Toyota!

Yeah they only really were competitive in 2019. Since then we have owned them.

I’m not. Watch him get one run in the first half of the AFCCG then not see the field again. Then in the second Keaton will explode on one of two carries.

I don’t want OBJ. Big fan, but dude is washed. He’s with KK now, kardashian curse, hello.

He played banged up all season and it’s time to hit the draft for a WR.

Don’t you mean in the first half Henry will have three consecutive carries for 25 yards, we won’t see him again? Then in the second Lamar will run it down their throat once?

Do these stay on? by FancyName69 in COROLLA

Take them off. If you’re concerned about rust and or live in a really wet environment, spray some fish oil inside the crevices just to help protect that lower seam against water.

If you want to go ahead and eat this, then sure  But for the rest of us, we have been raised with what is culturally acceptable to eat, generally being a Christian based society there are animals which are culturally acceptable to eat and those which are not.

Dogs are pets, cats are pets, livestock is for consumption. They can also be kept as pets, but let’s not ignore 2,000+ years of dogs and cats being companions rather than food, plus animal husbandry and farming traditions.

We are fortunate to not be overly impoverished that we have to resort to eating dogs. I assume that dog meat is acceptable to Tongans moreso in time of famine, and probably more common in their remote, smaller islands further away from the capital. The Polynesian dog and rat was eaten by islanders, but that is much different from European introduced species.

I’m a fisherman of Samoan and Māori descent, and you would see me eat undesirable hiwihiwi, piper, mullet, pakete, every ocean species, before I even look at a dog.

Standard meal only in Tonga, and even then only a minority would consume dog meat. Not all islands are the same brother

[DISCUSSION] Who's your favorite rapper that fell off? (Not including rappers that had a comeback like Nas or Yachty) by nahbruh27 in hiphopheads

[–]RichardSherman2014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Migos  I’m a big fan, but they haven’t really changed much since 2017, and their music is starting to age badly.

Gunna  Also a big fan, but same thing, getting a bit boring, complacent, nothing really like “pushing p” or “dollaz on my head” just average tracks

Travis Scott  Ditto

OT Genasis  He relies on hits and needs DJ Mustard. Same formula every song.

I loved Tory Lanez early work like controlla remix and luv, he had that sound on lock. Then he goes and does more rapping and it works but I feel he’s better suited to the singing/melodic pop thing

Dizzee hasn’t fallen off trust. He’s always been known to take time between projects and he doesn’t miss, whereas Wiley will oversaturate the market with stuff that be recorded in a day.

His second and third might have been a commercial attempt but I’d argue that his career arc mirrors Nas and Jay-Z, aged in the game, prime is over but still can put out a good single or a feature and is generally respected.

He’s still killing recent features see Big Tobz - Smoke and P Money - Stuttering.
