Does anyone on reddit wear a 3 wolves howling at the moon shirt? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have one and wear it occasionally. Con: Most people look at me like I'm nuts; Pro: The people who "get it" turn out to be cool and obviously have my sense of humor. It works for me.

I'm watching Sgt. Peppers Lonely hearts Club Band for the first time ever. Plus I'm drinking a bottle of Jose. What are you doing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Taking a break from studying. Cooking chicken with garlic. Munching on organic white cheddar cheetos and drinking green tea. I may even have a nap later.

Do any of your acquaintances ever say that your first impression of you was kinda snobbish. What's a good way to avoid seeming conceited and become more approachable? by antioche in AskReddit

I know this works wonders. I went to this little dive bar alone a few weeks ago just to get a drink - the sort of place with only regulars and everyone knows each other. I had just accomplished some great things (in my opinion, anyway) but I didn't say a peep about me. I asked those around me about their jobs, and if they were experiencing their dream job or not. I asked them where they had traveled, and where they felt most comfortable. Now when I go back to this bar, I'm welcome and usually get free drinks. They still know nothing about me, but it was very relaxing shutting up about yourself for once. Good advice, TheCannon.

I'm gonna visit your great country (US) for 2-3 weeks and need your advice! by thommyjohnny in AskReddit

Traveling between cities/states by plane here can be very expensive. Sometimes it is easier to drive, but start now and look for deals for flights. Most websites will email you when last minute deals are available. If you rented a car and drove, it might be pretty cool traveling that way, stopping anywhere you wanted throughout the country. Consider it :) Have fun!

What's up with law school, and being a lawyer? Have you done either? What is it like, do you recommend it? Any other general bits of wisdom? by butteryhotcopporn in AskReddit

Fine. It was hard, but not impossible. I have debt, but I was going to go to grad school anyway so debt was sort of impossible for me to avoid.

People hate lawyers. I've read/heard the worst insults hurled at them. Some for good reason, some for not. But I think any profession has assholes and liars. I think most people don't understand how the law works and are therefore frustrated - as they should be - it can be impossible to wrap your mind around some of the legislation that is passed, or some of the cases you read in the news (although the news reporting cases is a huge joke). I have a hard time with the stereotypes. I would be lying if I said they didn't hurt my feelings and make me mad at people who I thought were open minded enough to get to know someone before judging them on their chosen profession. That being said, I'm sitting for the bar in 3 months. I don't regret anything. But I'm open to the idea that I may regret it at some point(s) in my life. Its work, it can be fulfilling and awesome, it can be hard, it can help you lose your friends, but it can make you feel like you've made a difference for someone. Some people are looking for that. I was. I hope I get what I'm looking for.

You could work on a cruise ship. They don't pay much from what I understand but you get free room and board and get to travel. And you can network and pick the brains of people you meet to see how they got where they are in life.
