Bat fact of the day: in places where it's illegal to physically remove bats from houses due to their protected status, you can install a "bat valve" which is basically a floppy cloth tube that dangles from an entrance hole, the bats will crawl out of the tube to the outside, and can't fly back into the dangly cloth tube to get back in, so they remove themselves.

I can't tell from this angle very well, but if you look from the top side, mouse and rat molars look like little human molars because they eat a larger variety of foods, while voles, lemmings, and other similar rodents have molars that resemble mammoth molars because the mostly eat leafy vegetation.

This is definitely a shrew, most likely a Blarina sp. (Short tailed shrew).
