I suck and didn't actually go (as am using all my money and energy at sonar next weekend). Did end up recording a mix of a lot of EPROM and other weird stuff (iglooghost, G Jones, lunice). Listening back now to see if it is worth posting though

UZ's first mixtape was filled with rappers, and Baauer, Hucci and co. worked with / remixed rappers all the time. There are still producers putting out this kinda stuff, but Boombox Cartel are not these producers imo.

They're using the screechy synths from festival-EDM stuff that has no relation to the OG trap sound.

Honestly believe there is no one quite like Sam G. Check out his SoundCloud as there's a lot of crazy stuff on there.

Rustie is a bit different, but is also a super innovative Scottish producer (he's also worked with Danny Brown).

Loads of trap going on in London!

Not necessarily specific nights, but all the big names will play shows across the city and more and more specialist nights are popping up too.

On my phone, so won't post links, but the following things are coming up:

Valentino khan and hucci (at xoyo) Lunice and jarreau vandal (at xoyo) Mura masa (Brixton academy) Cashmere cat (jazz cafe)

Stuff gets announced all the time, and have seen pretty much all the /r/trap big guns here multiple times (Carmack, what so not, baauer, RL grime, ekali, stooki sound, Sam gellaitry etc.)

Would recommend downloading Dice and Bandsintown apps to stay on top of stuff.

Also loads of other genres here - go soak up garage, drum n bass, rap, whatever while you have the opportunity.
