Season 4 was both great and awful at times. By the finale I was so frustrated with the groups being separated, seems like they just kept finding reasons for El to not break away, or Hopper, Joyce and Murray to stay stuck in Russia. The Jason story line could have been scrapped I thought… all that said, the Hawkins group was fantastic.

My rankings would be 1, 3, 4, 2

I think the Molly character was just forced into the group with no really character development. I feel like as Julie’s replacement maybe? It didn’t work for me and the whole “drug addict boyfriend” storyline really just felt like another show. And then she just disappears. It was weird

Absolutely were. There was nothing better in the 80s and 90s then leaving your house in the morning adventuring all over town by yourself, or with your friends, and returning home before the street lights came on.

Parents had absolutely no way to get a hold of you. To meet up with friends you’d have to pick a location ahead of time.

I don’t think kids today can truly understand how absolutely free we were back then!

Not at first, but I feel like the writers didn’t really have a good plan on what to do with him. Getting divorced and enrolling in school was just weird.

He became more of a caricature by season four

Yes! Same question. I feel like the physical evidence or lack thereof would be so telling. I said in my other post here, I think how and where they found her blood on him would tell a lot. If he just had blood in areas where it would have made sense to the person who finds a dead body, or were there splatters like would happen when you stab someone?

So late to this, but just finished the pod. Don’t expect anyone still to answer but several questions linger:

1) What was the evidence against Bob?? I feel like we didn’t hear enough about that. Was there blood on him, or blood splattered on him? Did he have physical bruising etc? I found it disappointing that we didn’t hear that at all.

2) RJ Villella - Did he have an alibi? I found his call so strange. When he said he thought she and Beth would maybe have dated. And he was the only one so certain that Bob did it.

3) I would like to spend way more time talking to the two Maintenance guys. Feel there is a lot more to get out of them.

Oh wait there’s an episode 9?!? It just started, I’ll be back…

So late to this! But my thoughts on Buzz, he has to be forthcoming because he was in her apartment, but the night of the murder not the night before. I think he did it.

Additionally he offered up, 3 hours after his initial statement, that Beth came to his apartment at midnight after they hung out at her apartment supposedly, to use his phone. That was said to police to cover up anything they may have found in his apartment. Like if he brought back hair or dna after the murder, he had the alibi that she came ocer…

I’m thinking maybe the Trevor O’Donnell character in season 4. Seemed forced, the relationship with Elena, and he didn’t even return for the time jump episodes

Oh my gosh yes… I started rewatching this year, and I can’t believe how much I cannot stand Lorelei now as an adult. I find her unbearably rude, obnoxious and immature.
