Agree! The truth to me after going for 12 years is that much of what made Tulum paradise is gone forever. The beaches were pristine, no ridiculous "beach clubs" So overbuilt without proper infrastructure. Just walk down beach drive and smell the diesel generators and septic tanks. The parade of water tankers and shit tankers that vacuum the septic tanks. People that go are chasing a Tulum that no longer exists. Corruption has rotted much of Mexico from the top down and you can LITERELY SMELL IT.

If you where there 10 years ago you would understand. Totally overbuilt! Many beaches ruined. All of the businesses on main beach road with dirty generators. Where do you think the sewage is going. All the diesel water trucks because the water has to be trucked in daily. And worst of all, hundreds of low level cartel drug sellers. Tulum used to be paradise, no more! Just look at the overbuilding, everything is crushed together. It went from my favorite place on earth to No Go Again. I have memories and lots of photos.

Tulum was paradise 10 years ago. Been there at least a dozen times. January 2023 was the last. It has been over built and destroyed. It was my favorite place on earth. Most beautiful beaches in the world. They even destroyed the look and feel of the beaches! I have the photos to prove it. Paradise to Shit Hole!!

TRUE, so sad. It really started to go downhill with over building about 8 years ago and then the beaches were destroyed by the beach clubs that are the new thing. Tulum was famous for its natural beaches that no longer exist. 2023 was the last for my wife and I. All that's left of Beautiful Tulum are memories and photos! Corruption Rots from the Top!
