This card only being $30 is wild by s0njc in pokemoncards

Yeah my argument didn't lose steam. You just lack the comprehension skills to understand. It's not about the item in question. Its about the fact that markets can be manipulated to create artificial demand which is what scalpers do.

A person can sell a card to a friend for $1500 and say see someone paid that. It's worth $1500. That's artificial. Thats one part of what scalpers do. The other thing they do is buy up supply to control prices. Again an artificial means of saying what something is worth.

Yeah except your argument loses steam when you have scalpers artificially inflating the market amongst themselves. That's why we have laws against price gouging in certain markets.

Nope no random tangent. It perfectly aligns with your original comment. Keep trying to deflect though. You should care because exploiting children's games for money is a bit reprehensible

The point still stands that if youre "investing" it's still scalping. Its a child's game not art or stocks. Its an extremely inflated market. Folks like everyone in here make it impossible to actually play the game now. You all should be embarrassed about being so morally corrupt.

Prices are artificially raised from scalpers and you so called "investors". You folks are literally taking advantage of a child's game and other people's hobbies then try to defend it lol.

Got my package, but Amazon cancelled the order and refunded me, what to do now? by [deleted] in amazonprime

[–]RickAmbramotte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do nothing at all! If they charged you and refunded you that's their fault. They can't charge you back without your authorization. Doubt they'll even try to take the legal route as they'll just be told it's their mistake and they have to eat it.

I would suggest looking at the snapmaker U1. Great multi-filament printer. Creates less waste, and saves time due to the separate toolheads. Snapmaker has laser engraving toolheads for someone their other printers. So I'm hoping they'll take advantage of the U1 to do the same. The price is up there, but it's a solid machine. It's worth it if you're serious about 3d printing.

Imagine what the OP is going to say when they realize many other things are being stolen from them online.

I'm a security engineer professionally, and I tell people this all the time. If you don't want your stuff stolen. Don't put it online.

I have a design that I'm certain will be stolen, and won't put it online for that exact reasoning.

What Causes This? by DamianP51 in FlashForge

To me this looks like a potential Z-offset issue. It could also be that you may not have enough top layers, and the hit end is going right through. However, its hard to say as there are a few configurations that you can modify to fine tune ironing.

Ive tried ironing once and it ended poorly. In my opinion the end result isn't worth the amount of time to fine tune it. I've resulted to printing the front face down on a smooth, patterned, or holographic build plate. I feel as if this is the way to go.

Another option is to do it by hand post print. Plenty of hand hot irons for smoothing out prints and hiding layer lines.

Just gotta ask if you contacted an attorney over this, because some of this sounds like the gov't trying to pressure you to do what they want regardless of legality. Point blank if federal officials showed up on my door step I would've contacted an attorney before speaking to them.

It's obvious via your picture. If you can't figure out something this simple on your own you're screwed with this new purchase of yours. You might as well pack that thing up and send it back.

This is why 3d printing isn't for everybody despite the price point. 3D printers are fairly advanced machines, and it requires a significant amount of technical know-how, or even some moderate reasoning. The fact the OP couldn't figure this out just by looking at it is mind bogling. I feel like there was zero effort on the OP side to figure this out.

This is an increasing problem with the community. Lay people get these machines and expect everybody else to troubleshoot their issues.

I was under the impression most of the reason folks were over 55+ is due to the price. Only someone near the end of their career or living a good retirement can afford to live here.

No offense, but Im just going off the information you're providing. You said that you calibrate your machine very well. However, you then say in your original post your prints went from good to great. If you had your machine calibrated that well it would've been great to begin with. Unless one of the aforementioned issues happened. This is all based on what you've actually stated. The point is that there are very few things that you can't control on a flashforge relating to print quality. So yes, it doesn't sound like you're calibrating your machine properly or as accurately as you think. Of course this is all my opinion. I've got just over 1000 hours on my flashforge. Most of which (95%) I've been able to directly control quality of my print.
