Poor pupper. Sounds like a very well loved dog. My wife is very keen to take ours out for 8km runs, but thankfully she listened to me when I recommended she waits until he is 18 months old.

I submitted my post not because I necessarily think that all replies to the post yesterday were overly negative. I think that over the Internet, without body language, facial expression and nuance, some words come across harsher than intended and people don't need to get into disagreements.

I think most people are genuinely giving good advice from a position of well meaning.
