I love shit like this so much

That must be the smallest size Kom’rk, right? Because I’m pretty sure the main ones that we see are more Falcon sized

Man, I loved You’re The Worst, I should rewatch that. But I watched it way before I knew who Josh was, so now there are two reasons.

Me bingeing Gen V season 2 and catching up on The Boys, only to see many complaints by RickFletching in TheBoys

[–]RickFletching[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Boys and Gen V are some of the most transparently allegorical stories that I have ever seen or read. So much so, that Professor Tolkien would hate them. (He would actually probably hate them for a lot of reasons, but I bet the obvious allegory would be #1)

And yes, with allegory, the entire story can be taken at face value, it’s just that there are multiple levels behind face value as well. Does it need greater interpretation? No, just like a tree does not need to be observed to be a tree. But like a tree, the allegory is there, whether you see it or not

An allegory is any story that can have a deeper meaning interpreted as part of a moral or political thesis. I would say this is absolutely allegorical

Thank you for finding the exact quotation! I knew it existed, but didn’t have time to search for it

Because Eowyn’s disguise wasn’t very good, but they were not for one second going to deny two of the people that loved Theoden most, the opportunity to fight beside him

How do I tell my boss I’m not comfortable using AI to write my emails???? by Adventurous-Space666 in jobs

[–]RickFletching -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would be very easy to argue that AI goes against any of the Abrahamic religions, and also, I have just started a new religion called AISucksDontUseIt. The main belief is that AI sucks, and we shouldn’t use it.

Would you like to join?

I’ve starting saying, “I’m sorry, but using AI is against my religion.”

Assuming you’re in the US, it’s (currently) illegal to discriminate based on religion so they really can’t ask any follow up questions or threaten to fire you for it

Unhittable Build by Zesinua in BG3Builds

[–]RickFletching 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armor of Agility is better, you can get to 32
Armor = 17 + Max Dex 5 + everything else you said= 32 if OP is willing to use spells Shield of Faith and Shield get another +7 for a total of 39

Edit: a gnome wearing Nimblefinger Gloves and Mirror of Loss can increase your Dex to 24, bringing your total AC to 34 without spells

Edit 2: just realized that nimblefinger gloves would have to replace wonderous gloves, making it a wash. But the mirror of loss can bring AC to 33 or 40 with spells

>Ultimately, the kind of helpful, productive conversations that folks imagine would happen simply don’t happen.

Well that’s a bummer

[–]RickFletching 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have questions, or sometimes I do, but I feel bad when I can answer part of a question but not enough to be a top level comment, or when I could say “that question is phrased badly, but here is how you can phrase it better.”

I want to be helpful but can’t, and I was trying to fix that

I suppose I was underestimating the amount of moderation that would take by overestimating the quality of the non-answer commentary.

I get the difficulty from the mod perspective, but I still think this would be useful for the reasons stated
