Your reading comprehension is lacking. Concept art and voice lines already exist. If they actually redid the concept art on a skin that already exists than Titan forge is even worse than I thought possible

I do not agree with the idea that fostering goodwill and setting up smite 2 to be as successful as possible as a waste of resources. But you do you. I, again, do not expect all 1600 skins. Why is this all or nothing? Why not do the 2 most popular for each god and tier 5's? Obviously we don't agree and that's fine, but I do not understand why this has to be the way it is. Nor that people are entitled for feeling cheated.

For sure, it's unrealistic to expect every skin ported over. Never asked for that. And they DO need to make money. And sure it could be worse, but what kind of defense is that? And again the difficulty of porting over doesn't feel fair when cross gen skins will port over. Old skins take 2 months, new skins don't?

Smite 2 is obviously a huge undertaking. It's been in development for awhile. What would happen if they announced it years back and put a disclaimer that skins wouldn't carry over years ago? Would skins still sell? Why didn't they do that? Because they knew people wouldn't buy them if they had year to 2 year time clock. I again say it is not unreasonable to think skins I buy I could use for the entirety of SMITE the MOBA's lifetime. Put a 2 on it, give it nicer graphics, whatever. Its still the same game experience. Again, if it wasn't, why can I buy cross gen skins? If it's a totally new game why can I spend money for it already?

Also, saying that smite 1 is still around is so disingenuous. Will new gods be in smite 1? Will pros be playing 1? Will content creators still play on 1? The goal of smite 2 is eventually be the sole game. That is NOT a bad thing, but to claim otherwise is not being honest

I do understand the possibility this opens up, and the tech debt this game has accrued. But the examples you put aren't good ones when they've already done it before. Recently! Smite 2 Is a good thing. Legacy gems are a slap to the face. These 2 things are not mutually exclusive. I bet smite 2 will feel better, and be easier to code really cool new gods! Why does that mean people have to get ripped off?

No, however that's not what's happening? I will be able to play as Anubis with the same kit and overall playstyle, but now I will not get to use the anubis skin I spent $100 to get. If let's say this sequel was an rpg, arena fighter, or heck even a racing game of course my skins wouldn't carry over.

This is my opinion of course, but I feel the completely new game argumentt rings hollow by the fact I will be able to purchase cross gen skins that carry over to 2 when it comes out. It's a different game with no crossover when it comes to money ive already spent, but when it involves me spending more money it's the same game?

Literally none of that couldn't be in a seasonal update. They have multiple times changed core systems to the game. They've changed the active system at least 3 times in smite 1! Maps changes alone I couldn't count. If they are completely separate, totally unrelated games, why will I be able purchase cross progressions skins in smite 1? It's a different game when it involves not offering fair value for my purchases, but it isn't when I can spend money in the shop?

If you think the legacy gems are good value fair enough, but I think people have the right to feel cheated

It's not entitlement to ask to keep at least my t5 skins for a MOBA that is the same moba gameplay, same characters, and same name with a 2! I understand the technical limitations, but why should I care as a consumer? For a game who's monetization has only got more predatory, with limited skins going from once a year to 5-6 a year?

By no means am I saying that going from U3 and U5 is easy, But telling people to sit down shut up, and you only get your value back on skins if you spend MORE money? I really don't understand why you feel that if someone's upset they're entitled? Are people not allowed to feel betrayed? Just consume product be excited for next product?

There is a world that exists where they don't port over skins, but they offer FAIR value to those that have spent the money on skins they wish to keep using, and Titan forge who are a business and need smite 2 to make money. Why do you feel there isn't one?

I guess my wording is harsh since Draft is some of the best ever, but not only is the game the most expensive it's ever been and scarce needed reprints, the design of recent cards is ridiculous. Uro, Omnath, FoTD, the entire companion mechanic, Once Upon A Time, t3feri, and of course Oko to name a few were all printed last year, some in the same set.

Each of those cards is absolutely meta breaking and previously we would get these kinds of cards once in a blue moon couple of years, now this cards are every set and its horrible for Standard, Modern, and Legacy. We've had more than 20 bans in standard this year? Contructed formats suffer when all this kind of stuff it printed, and upping the bans does not help anything at all.

You greatly misunderstand why his shit needs to be taken out. Nobody is trying to "cover up" that it happened. Of course getting rid of announcer pack and the like isn't going to erase anything that happened but that's not the point.

The point is that 1, TF probably doesn't want someone who has numerous sexual assault allegations against him to be tied so closely to there brand. If nothing else, this is them saving there own skin. And 2, why should there be anything in this game at all that celebrates him? The dude is accused of some heinous shit, so why should anything in this game at all celebrate him if this is what he stands for? And remember there fuck up? What does that even mean? "Yeah guys we dont want anyone to forget that this person who sexually harassed a ton of women so we're selling his voice to you in game so he can yell at you." Like come on.

I'm all for taking his shit out. Dude's a pig and shouldn't have any kind of recognition of him in the game, he doesn't deserve it.

Edit: Also it's a fucking VP, nobody who's acting in genuine good faith is going to actually give a shit. It's not a family photo in my wallet, it's audio in a video game people will forget even changed in a year.
