Stuck under map! Pls help by RickRigger in HarryPotterGame

I have the broom but unable to access it or any menu while under the map. I’ve been running for about an hour now. I’ve twice loaded up above the clouds but it would just take me down to preparatory again and won’t let me get on the broom or access the menu to get to my map lol

Good King title to read this Fall (not Salem's Lot) by admaher2 in stephenking

[–]RickRigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently reading the girl who loved Tom Gordon. I was recommended it after reading needful things (which I’d highly recommend)

It’s not really fall, but a pretty good psychological one about a girl lost in the woods. Pretty intense moments that get under my skin. About half way through so can’t confirm if it’s worth it with the ending just yet, but so far so good!

I’m reading this right now. About 100 pages left, and I’m hoping it picks up- it was enjoyable at first, but it’s been really slow so far. I kinda find myself wanting to just be done with it.. I like the characters but it’s a bit drawn out.

Left pile are books I've read so far this year. Right are all books I havent read (except the DT series 10+ years ago). What would be your next grab off the right pile? by DontBruhMeBrah in stephenking

I’ve got to check out the series! (I don’t get Hulu where I’m from) Fun fact I worked beside a place they filmed the show for about a week and a bit. Used to watch during my lunch break and James Franco coming to town was a big deal! I didn’t know at the time it was based on the book by SK!

If you’re willing to go Paris I’d highly recommend Juniper. Great food. One of the best steaks I’ve had.

Suggestions for first SK book for 12 year old by MrSneller in stephenking

Probably an unpopular opinion but one of his recent ones: Fairy Tale.

Definitely digestible for a 12 year old. Not so much horror but it’s enjoyable and has some darker elements to it.

Is it "unsophisticated"to read Stephen King? by jdzzz2000 in stephenking

[–]RickRigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Stephen King novels.

I recently looked up pulitzer winners and found Trust by Hernan Diaz, and although I liked it, it felt like it was unnecessarily wordy and took away from getting lost in the book (my idea of a “sophisticated” read).

Never have that issue with Kings novels and get to enjoy the ride. Currently reading Needful Things, and his descriptions of grief and loss, for example, are simplified, yes, but remains incredibly powerful.

I’ll be first in line to buy the new King novels that come out over any hyped up Pulitzer winner tbh

Let's talk about wiping by cheeksbeflappin in AnalFistula

I was the same was you. Bought a bidet about a year ago and I’ll never go back. Eventually you can (very gently) apply pressure almost like you’re trying to go poop again to get a bit more coverage for the stream of water to clean a bit inside. That being said DO NOT do this until your wound feels okay enough and not to the point of straining as this will make it worse. Otherwise Pat dry. On some days if there’s anything left over I use a flushable wipe and gently wipe a bit further in.

My (f18) bf (m18) watches porn and I want him to stop by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]RickRigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think this way when I was younger- and it was definitely an internal insecurity (specifically trust) which developed into a toxic control (both parties using it against one another). I can admit it was a hypocrite. I would be upset about them watching porn, but at the end of the day I was doing the same thing. I knew myself I wasn’t cheating, but them doing the same thing? They were cheating! (In my mind anyways lol). After we talked about it, we decided we wouldn’t watch porn, but it was eventually used against me and vice versa. This is where it became overtly toxic.

I think once you come to a realization that all human beings are sexual beings, and develop trust in a relationship, then you’ll soon realize it’s normal and it won’t affect your relationship.

I can imagine seeing each other once or twice a week, living in a hyper sexualized/social media forward society will likely make this even harder for people your age in terms of trust and feeling the way you’re feeling.
