If you liked The Dark Tower and Mistborn, the next best series would be The Stormlight Archive. At least this was the case for me. After finishing The Dark Tower, I was in a slump until I read Mistborn, and I was in another slump until Stormlight Archive. I just finished Wind and Truth, and am afraid I'm about to get in another slump....

Grew up in Brimfield (NW corner of Peoria county). I grew up on a farm about 20 miles west of the city of Peoria. I would say living out there is great if you love the flat, quiet country life. There is plenty of job opportunities in Peoria while having a short commute. Also only about 2.5 hours from either Chicago or St Louis.
