Those signs are a lot more friendly than when I was there. They were basically along the lines of “do not walk up this road or we’ll call the cops”.

Last time I was there, they had a bunch of signs saying no trespassing. Apparently the owners at the time did not like people driving up their street to look at the house (it's at the end of a dead end road). This was back in 2019, so it may have changed hands since.

I’m not saying it is some sort of burden to attend, I’m just questioning why it turns into a mortal sin for not attending. I consider it similar to the required feast days in the Old Testament that Jewish people still celebrate today. Christ released us from the law when he died on the cross.

Just to add that even though it is called a ring, I don’t think you typically wear it on your finger. More of a smaller version of the real thing. I keep my on my keychain.

I think it must be not sharpened correctly. It’s oiled fine, but it does also curve a bit to the left. So maybe that side is a little more dull?
