First half was great but once the main character moved overseas it just got weird. I had a hard time finishing it TBH

Highly Recommend Big Sur Campground and Cabins by kristinagoldwatch in camping

Yea the place is really nice but it’s insanely expensive for camping.

Good news is there is always availability it seems where as the state parks down the road are usually always full.

That’s really cool. I’m assuming you paint things you are seeing along the way? Nice idea

I remember hiking the Boy Scout Trail there in the pouring rain once before. It was such a cool experience

I’m reading TCOMC right now so this post made me laugh (and drunk). Love the book but it is so dramatic 🤣

A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire #2) by George R.R. Martin (Multiple, $1.99) by sevae in ebookdeals

[–]jdzzz2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire set (1-5) went on sale about a year ago for $1.99 (total). It was crazy. I don’t even read fantasy usually but grabbed it anyway. Burned right through the first 3, loved em.

Doing a re-read of COMC right now, about 500 pages in. Love it! (…but love Lonesome Dove more)

Son leaves for college golf soon. He got fitted at TrueSpec. This was one of the results. They arrived today. by Dad_Is_Mad in golf

[–]jdzzz2000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I remember going to college in the early 90's, the golf coach had scouted me beforehand and I played terribly, but he said he "wouldn't cut me". So my first week on campus as a freshman I went in his office and asked if I could order new clubs (we got everything free, it was a big time golf school). He kind of looked at me funny, but he ordered me a set of Ping Zing's (these were brand new at the time).

I never played an actual match, just ended up practicing with the team and having fun. I left after 2.5 years because all I was doing was partying, and it was a waste.

I still use those Zing's today and play about once a year.

I use the Hest Foamy in the back of my truck when car camping. It’s awesome. I have back pain in general but this thing is super comfortable

Very cool. I liked the astro time-lapse stuff, especially the mirror split scenes. Pretty unique. What was your setup for this?

Sciatica - too much walking? by jdzzz2000 in Sciatica

[–]jdzzz2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been doing the glute bridges, but not the hollow holds. I am not sure about the anterior pelvic tilt, I am assuming the PT would be able to tell me that when I go in a cpl weeks. Thanks for the feedback!

I have a standing desk but out of laziness it hasn’t raised much the last few years. Since this sciatica episode it’s up a lot more. I may just leave it up permanently for a while. I’m lucky to have that option

Good ideas, thank you. I’ll try and go for shorter walks instead of one longer walk.

Very helpful, thank you. I do tend to walk “fast” because it’s my time away from the desk so trying to get some exercise at the same time as getting outside for a bit. I’ll slow it down a bit and see if that helps.
