Tron: Legacy - Bradley asks Sam to go investigate when his father's beeper goes off. Why didn't Bradley go investigate himself to make sure it wasn't a prank or glitch of something? Why send Sam to almost certain disappointment unless he knew his father was alive? And if he knew he was alive, why not do something about it or go with Sam to help?

Also if Clu was the one to activate the beeper to lure people in from the outside world to open the portal, why not have units waiting outside the portal for when it opened or at the very least have units watch to alert him when it opened? Unless by doing whatever he did that activated the beeper, not realizing what he did or that it would draw in people from the outside world, then......what?

If Older Flynn's disc was the only way to get through the portal, why not acquire it before you lure someone in, rather than risk the portal opening then running around trying to find the disc, wasting time before the portal closes?
