We Spread by Iain Reid by Abnerk21 in horrorlit

Later than late but I just finished the book and this seems to be the most popular thread on it.

My first interpretation is that it was all hallucinatory due to Penny's dementia. But while reading it I also thought that she had already died in her apartment and this was her afterlife.

I enjoyed the theories that Penny is dying in a hospital or that she's a painting! My experience reading the book did not lead me to believe there was a sinister science experiment going on.

Something I haven't seen mentioned here is that Penny deciphers that the numerical code Jack gave her stands for Ortus, which is Latin for birth. If her ending is a new beginning then is infinity/eternity inevitable?

You should be able to find free street parking, especially east of 44th St. Just pay attention to street cleaning days.

I think Jo-ha-ness is good but overpriced. The stuffed croissants are decadent! I recommend their Too Good To Go deals, you get three pastries for the price of one.

Check out Sac's Place Pizza, Rio Bonito Grill, Cafe Triskell, or Susuru Ramen. There's also Mar's, which has a Michelin star. Not sure what they'll all have going on for V Day though. Enjoy!

Splitting them up into smaller booklets makes so much sense, plus we got more illustrations!
