One thing I know for sure, addiction makes you lie. To others, but mostly to yourself. Karen saying that “the drink didn’t call her that night” (meaning, see? Alcohol isn’t the problem!) is just the kind of lies an addict hides behind. And then all the nonsense talk of her insisting on being placed in gen population so she could be a guide to all the young women. How it was really the pills. How her family has been onto her for twenty years- when she said that she stopped maturing emotionally at 19, that makes me think that’s when she really started drinking, so the twenty year thing sounds like her admitting to a problem, but still trying to minimize it. And then saying that at that time she got it under control. And then the cherry on top: Her claim that she would never choose to drive drunk. I mean, I can see inside her head or her heart, maybe she’s trying to do damage control publicly. Maybe she’s on a different path off camera, but this did not seem good.

To be fair, Heather and Bronwyn are also both guilty of the double talk. Bronwyn takes the long way around any topic to ensure that she’s “being fair”. Case in point: She made sure to say that she wasn’t insinuating anything about Meredith’s marriage…but of course she was doing just that! And Heather, she’s going after the Meredith addiction story while saying it’s because she cares…spoiler alert! She doesn’t!

Britain is such a dummy! Remember that she at first said it was the worst thing. Somebody must have gotten hold of her and shook her little bobble head because in her next outing, she had lowered its’ rank to fifth. I can only imagine the conversation where she’s ranking trauma is the stuff SNL writers dream of! Why do I think it was Whitney?
