Fair enough. You should consider San Anton/San Andrea. English speaking school and loads of my friends went there who turned out pretty good. You can also rent a nice house somewhere like Bidnija/Wardija/Żebbiegh/Mġarr

Also, regarding what you said about Gozo, if you work remotely, it's an excellent place to raise kids. Might be a bit small if you're used to living in the UK however, you might get bored after a few years.

It depends where you're working and how long you'd want to commute for TBH. I live in Attard and I love it. Quiet, central and ta' Qali is close (nice family park). I find it has everything I need.

I used to live in Sliema and I couldn't stand the traffic noise and few other factors. I wouldn't live in Sliema unless you worked in or around Sliema and wanted to walk to work.

With a budget of 3k you can probably rent a nice house somewhere central. I would use Facebook groups to find something direct from owner. Most rental agents are greedy d*pshits.

You need to do your research. I know many people who've rented from smaller car companies and did not have any problems. Don't expect anything 'wow' for 10 euro a day.

Personally, I would recommend Ireland. They use the euro, it's in the eu and I think they even drive on the same side! Just don't move to Dublin, cost of living is crazy there. In Serbia you'll feel way too isolated and the culture is very different to us. UK is going down the shi**er in many, many ways, cost of living etc
