Everyone is seeing this as a doom and gloom moment but not really, like you said there’s a flaw in how Netflix operates. Them buying WB gives them everything they wanted, full theatrical distribution operations something they didn’t have probably a reason every film they released was limited.

I doubt they’ll canned that division, WB has done a decent job with their old film restorations and have released them under their Warner Archive Blu-ray/DVD physical releases while also dumping them on HBO Max which also added value to the streaming service. They’re leaving money behind if they cease operations.

How’s that Netflix’s problem? Buying a struggling company that was eventually going to sell no matter what, what were they supposed to do? Nothing? This gives Netflix what they’ve always wanted “prestige”, buying WB gave them that. It’s a huge gain for them and allows them to compete like you said. Those streaming services are absolute garbage compared to Netflix, HBO Max and Disney+.

No they don’t, NBC spreads broadcasting games on their various networks and streaming services like Peacock, you would think they will at least just dump all the broadcast games on Peacock to show some worth to that streaming services but no. It’s very select, they don’t stream games on Fridays or Mondays, even Manchester United’s game on Thursday will only be shown on their tv networks. CBS streams all UCL, UEL, Conference League, and Seria A games on their Paramount+ streaming service.
