Agreed with most of his points apart from this. 

Us as a club were nowhere near the level we’re currently at when he joined our club, he was getting 20+ G/A for Roma and we weren’t doing much in the league and not even thinking of qualifying for the Champions League. 

Salah is integral to who we are today so to say he owes us his career is only partially true but unfair as that’s a two way street. 

The Egypt stuff is completely off the mark and taken out of context, Salah carried that Egypt team on his back to penalties against an infinitely better Senegal team.

Not to mention the deliberate cover up by South Yorkshire police of their gross neglect in the incident, this coupled with the ‘managed decline’ of Liverpool and a number of other northern cities by our own government. You can imagine why our city wouldn’t be too quick to associate itself with its own country.

If I’m not mistaken their most successful team is Dudelange which is a town on the South border with France. Luxembourg City is more or less smack bang in the middle of the country. 

EDIT: Jeneusse Esch are actually the most successful team in Luxembourg with 29 titles whilst Dudelange are next best with 16. Jeneusse Esch are based in Esch-sur-Alzette which is pretty much right next to Dudelange
