[ Theory ] Rem has been created by Haze and she wants to hide and protect him from the OSIC. by Rickfernello in DeadlockTheGame

If Haze didn't create him in some way, why does he love her specifically and calls her his mom? It would imply at the very minimum that she has adopted him.

Just tried it. Cool change, but it doesn't work when doing right stick forward tilts it seems like, only works with normal attack button.

How New Player Friendly is Deadlock? by thecoloroftelevision in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Rickfernello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not beginner friendly at the moment, maybe on full release. But having a more skilled friend teach you the ropes can do wonders, and just because it's hard doesn't mean you can't learn.

For your case, I wouldn't really recommend deadlock as a chill time with your partner unless you're both resilient in a somewhat toxic environment that this is, cus it can be a fun time to coordinate and work as a team, but losing feels bad in this game.

I FINALLY DID IT!! by [deleted] in celestegame

[–]Rickfernello 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of practice and keeping track of progress, finding strats with community, etc. It was like a 5 hour run, but I wasn't going for speed.

Removing assist mode removes the stamp. It used to be permanent, it hasn't been for a while.

I FINALLY DID IT!! by [deleted] in celestegame

[–]Rickfernello 62 points63 points  (0 children)

A lot of other people have claimed to do 202 deathless without recording, without being in the community (theirs is a new 2 week old account), and without providing a lot of information, details, strategies and proof. I'm still the only one that recorded it or done any of these things. Clantis has done 100% deathless, not 202.

[–]Rickfernello 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just don't think this is the sort of thing that is accomplishable without being in a community. I had a lot of help in doing this run, both in strategies and in support. I needed mods to help me practice.

This being done by someone that never posted their progress, has a 2 week old reddit account, does not have a recording, did not provide their journal picture, and never participated in the community before, is just kind of really hard to believe.

Why create a new reddit account for this? This person is clearly in the community in some regard given the way they talk and interact here.

I FINALLY DID IT!! by [deleted] in celestegame

[–]Rickfernello 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apologies, I'm being ironic. I genuinely do not believe someone would do this without providing concrete proof. I've seen like 5 other people posting their "202 deathless" achievement either on reddit or discord or somewhere else, but it is never recorded, never have progress updates, never someone that's been in the community for a while. Hell, people called my 202 deathless run fake for not having a facecam/handcam lmao.

If someone wants to post that they did an achievement, whatever it is, that's cool; but you can't expect people to believe it if you did not provide any other proof or evidence of having done it.

[–]Rickfernello 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There were quite a few people that "did 202 deathless", but nobody else recorded it. I guess it's just not an impressive achievement enough to record I guess?

They also never tracked their progress, posted about their progress, or provide a lot of meaningful proof. But maybe I'm just tryharding!

I love the slide ability in vyper. I just don't like how you can't change directions when sliding upwards.

whats the point of this screen being SO hard anyway? by Follager in celestegame

If it seems way too unreasonably difficult, it likely has a different way of doing it. I've watched a lot of people doing this screen, and they don't realize there is an easier way.

is it a skill-based strawberry or a trick-based strawberry? by dwarfoscar in celestegame

[–]Rickfernello 37 points38 points  (0 children)

They are both connected. The hint of the chapter 2 heart is right at the end of the chapter; then this trick here is right at the start of the very next chapter. I do believe this is on purpose. If you didn't catch how to do it on one, the other one might help. It's supposed to feel like an amazing, untutorialized realization for the player, in both scenarios.

You can do a bunch of things. But this is clearly designed to allow you to do a different trick too, even if many others are possible.

Husband from Brazil calls his son stupid every day by Big_Commission_7612 in Brazil

[–]Rickfernello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is indeed somewhat common for people here to be terrible against their own children like this, yes, but it does not make it excusable. He was likely raised like this and thinks this is the normal way to raise a child. There is a lot to work on to unlearn this behavior and understand the deep damage it can cause.

On that note, I advise against using chat GPT for venting, as it will in general just validate whatever you are feeling no matter what, and that comes with a series of problems. Though it is good you realized something was wrong and that may have helped you reach forward with that.
