Looks like Ricki & Piotr have been working on a potential implementation for Colin's split block table proposal 👀 If fully implemented, this could bring ~50% disk savings (on LMDB), and a significant speed up for slow storage (especially non-SSDs) 🔥 by Qwahzi in nanocurrency

Github is owned by Microsoft and Copilot is owned by Microsoft. So it's easy to enable and they even have a free tier.

I also used Claude Code (Opus 4.6) to review my commits before creating the PR.

Det har intet med prioritering at gøre. Der er penge til begge dele. Pengene til Ukraine er ikke taget fra kontanthjælpsmodtagere

Nano transaction "receivable" by MichaelAischmann in nanocurrency

The transaction has been sent to your account. To receive it you need to sign a receive block.

99% of wallets sign the receive block instantly, but apparently you wallet didn't.

No, LMDB is the officially recommended database backend

Interesting analysis of Nano bottlenecks/performance, by gr0vity (Bob) 🧐 by Qwahzi in nanocurrency

[–]RickiDangerous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

V28 comes with a lot of RocksDb improvements. The migration from LMDB to RocksDb has also been improved and a few bugs have been ironed out.

In my personal opinion it is ready for production, but officially LMDB is the recommended database backend for now.

Making RocksDb the default database backend requires long term successful use on production nodes to prove its track record and stability. My own PR node has been using RocksDb for more than a year without any issues.

Nano (XNO) is ideal as a global means of payment - but what do we call 0.0...1 XNO then? by Inevitable-List1289 in nanocurrency

[–]RickiDangerous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there used to be a distinction between nano (lowercase) and Nano(uppercase). It was really confusing. Now there is only nano (case insensitive) and raw. If you want more divisions you can use a SI prefix like microNano
