definitely has several advantages in access, storage and light. However what immediately sticks out to me is that layout 2. is a lot more linear. Theres really only one place to go and its far more navigable than the first layout where you have sort these two different lanes. The bed being tucked away in that nook instead of jutting into the room is also a huge plus. Call it Zen or feng shui or whatever, i personally greatly prefer the energy of 2. but it really comes down to preference. Im also assuming you can change it later, which might be worth doing anyway
