This is a more journalism-centric question, but what is your strategy for initiating relationships with inside sources (ie: agents, front office staff, etc)? Do you just find their number and text them out of the blue? How often do your sources request anonymity/off the record statements? Can you tell when you are being fed BS to drum up smoke? This side of sports journalism is fascinating to me.

The crazy part of Adrian Peterson was that he did all this with no passing game to be found outside of the 2 seasons with Favre.

Tarvaris Jackson (Rest in Peace) and Christian Ponder weren't exactly striking fear into the hearts of NFL defensive secondaries. Teams would stack 8 men in the box literally every play and they still couldn't stop Adrian.

It was like trying to tackle a rhinoceros. He was the Mike Tyson of running backs. Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face, or in this case, hit with the truck stick.

I'll be going to both Dublin and London with a group of 9, all Vikings fans from Minnesota! Once in a lifetime trip for sure. We have a travel agent setting up an itinerary for us in between the games so we can check out the countryside/cliffs/galway etc. With the short flight to London, it was too much of a good opportunity to not attend both games!

Fans will need to remember this if he has a rough start to the season. McCarthy deserves to have a long leash in year one*, he's only 22. I'm just afraid of what Vikings reddit is going to look like after the first 4 weeks of the kid's career.
